Job Description (JD) – Senior Warehouse Manager (E-commerce Warehouse)Position Title

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Warehouse Manager to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations for our e-commerce business. The candidate will be responsible for inventory management, order fulfillment, manpower handling, dispatch operations, process optimization, and maintaining operational efficiency while ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations

Manage complete warehouse operations including inward, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns management.
Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the e-commerce warehouse.
Monitor order processing timelines and ensure timely dispatch as per SLA.
Maintain warehouse layout and optimize storage utilization.

Inventory Management

Ensure accurate inventory control and stock reconciliation.
Conduct cycle counts and physical stock audits regularly.
Monitor inventory aging, damages, shortages, and excess stock.
Coordinate with procurement and planning teams for stock availability.

Team Management

Lead and supervise warehouse supervisors, executives, operators, and contractual manpower.
Prepare manpower planning and shift scheduling.
Train warehouse staff on SOPs, safety, and operational processes.
Monitor employee productivity and discipline.

E-commerce Fulfillment

Handle high-volume online order fulfillment operations.
Coordinate with courier and logistics partners for timely shipments.
Monitor order accuracy, packing quality, and return handling.
Ensure adherence to marketplace and customer delivery standards.

Process & System Management

Implement and improve warehouse SOPs and operational processes.
Work on warehouse productivity improvement and cost optimization.
Ensure proper usage of WMS/ERP systems for inventory and dispatch tracking.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure warehouse safety standards and housekeeping are maintained.
Monitor compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Handle audits and operational documentation.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of warehouse and supply chain operations.
Expertise in e-commerce fulfillment processes.
Knowledge of WMS, ERP, and inventory management systems.
Good leadership and team handling skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.

Qualification

Graduate / Post Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
Certification in Warehouse Management or Supply Chain will be an added advantage.

Experience

8–12 years of experience in warehouse operations.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in managing e-commerce warehouse operations in a senior role.
