Job Title: Quantity Surveyor -

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Coimbatore

Experience: 5 – 8 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking The Quantity Surveyor, is responsible for managing and controlling project costs from initial design through to completion for institutional civil projects. The role involves cost estimation, tendering, contract management, billing certification, and cost monitoring to ensure projects are completed within budget. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of construction practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works and develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

· Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and support contract negotiations ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

· Assess the value of completed work and certify contractor bills for timely payment.

· Monitor ongoing construction activities, identify cost overruns, and implement corrective actions to maintain budget control.

· Maintain accurate records of project costs, financial transactions, and documentation.

· Identify discrepancies between BOQ, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions, and resolve them effectively.

· Coordinate with the design team to review architectural and service drawings.

· Undertake cost analysis for repair, renovation, and maintenance works.

· Collaborate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution.

· Track and reconcile materials supplied at site to ensure cost efficiency and control.

· Ensure adherence to project budgets, quality standards, and institutional policies.

· Support audits and provide required documentation during inspections.

Desired Candidate Qualification

· B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

· 5–8 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost management.

· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.

· Expertise in cost analysis and estimation software/tools.

· Ability to analyse data, interpret drawings, and resolve cost-related issues.

· Good knowledge of tendering, BOQ preparation, and contract management.

· Strong communication and negotiation skills.

· Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders effectively.

· High attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.

· Experience in institutional / campus projects is preferred.
