Full job description

The Junior Quality Engineer will support quality control activities in fabrication and machining processes. The role involves assisting in inspections, preparing quality reports, maintaining documentation, and learning to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in incoming, in-process, and final inspection of fabricated and machined components.
Measure and verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes using precision instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.).
Support welding and fabrication quality checks as per drawings and standards.
Review and interpret basic engineering drawings and GD&T with guidance.
Prepare inspection reports, maintain quality records, and assist in NCR documentation.
Report deviations/non-conformities to the senior quality engineer..
Learn and apply quality tools like 5-Why, Fishbone, and CAPA under supervision.
Coordinate with production and machining teams for on-the-spot quality issues.
Follow ISO/ASME/IS standards and company quality procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma / ITI Mechanical
1-2 years of experience in fabrication and machining industry
Basic knowledge of machining processes, tolerances, and welding inspection.
Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
Exposure to ISO 9001, WPS, PQR, or NDT will be an added advantage

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
