Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commi 1 to join our dynamic culinary team at Everhome Cafe in Bandra. As a Commi 1, you will play a crucial role in assisting the head chef and sous chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that meet our standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong background in culinary arts and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to Everhome Cafe's recipes and quality standards.
Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely and in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Follow proper plating techniques and presentation guidelines to ensure that all dishes are visually appealing.
Monitor food quality and freshness, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
Adhere to portion control guidelines and minimize waste to maintain cost efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage of utensils and equipment.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff members as needed.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Contribute to a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Certification from a culinary school or relevant training program is a plus.
Positive attitude, passion for food, and dedication to excellence.
