The SAP PP QM Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) solutions. The role ensures seamless integration with upstream and downstream processes, supports manufacturing excellence, and aligns SAP solutions with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
. Lead end to end SAP PP and QM architecture, design, and solution delivery
. Translate business manufacturing and quality requirements into SAP functional designs
. Configure and optimize SAP modules including: Production Planning (PP) Quality Management (QM)
. Design solutions for: Demand Management & MRP & Scheduling WBS and Material BOM Capacity Planning Production Orders & Scheduling Batch Management & Traceability Inspection Planning, Execution Quality Notifications, Audits, and Compliance Processes
. Ensure integration with related SAP modules (MM, WM/EWM, SD, PM, FI/CO, PS)
. Should have extensive knowledge in S/4 HANA WM and EWM.
. Define SAP integration strategy across internal and external systems
. Should have experience with Interface for both inbound and oubound in SAP. With all possible transmision medium such as IDOC, Webservice etc.
. Proven experience in SAP PP/QM inbound and outbound interfaces, including IDOCs, Web Services (SOAP/REST), RFCs, and other integration mechanisms, with exposure to MES and external quality/manufacturing systems
. Ability to collaborate with technical teams to define interface structures, error handling, monitoring, and reconciliation
. Should have integration knowledge SAP Project System(PS).
. Act as solution architect during SAP implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and migrations (ECC S/4HANA)
. Lead functional workshops, blueprinting, and design reviews
. Provide leadership and guidance to functional consultants and business stakeholders
. Support testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) and deployment activities
. Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, governance, and documentation standards
. Support ongoing improvement and innovation in manufacturing and quality processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
. 12+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP PP and QM
. At least 2–3 full cycle SAP implementations as a functional or solution architect
. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards
. Experience with SAP S/4 HANA PP/QM mandatory
. Proven experience with SAP WM and EWM will be added advantage.
. Proven experience as a SAP Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect
. Experience in Energy or Power industry is added advantage.
. Excellent understanding of integration points with MM, SD, EWM, and FI/CO
. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
. Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable SAP solutions
. Contribute to roadmap definition, innovation initiatives, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
. SAP S/4 Hana certification in PP and/or QM
. Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery models
