Full job description

Key Responsibilities

Analyze how Data Mesh users (domain teams, data product owners, data engineers, ML
engineers, AI/BI teams) publish and consume data products on Databricks.
Identify gaps and improvement opportunities across onboarding, usability, governance, data quality, access management, and operational processes.
Document current-state and future-state business processes, including data product lifecycle, access request workflows, incident management, and change management processes.
Create and maintain business analysis artifacts such as epics, features, user stories,
acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirements traceability matrices.
Translate business requirements into clear, testable technical requirements for data
engineering and platform teams.
Define data product requirements including inputs, outputs, SLAs/SLOs, data quality
standards, metadata, and lineage requirements.
Gather and document security, access control, auditability, and governance requirements.
Capture operational requirements including monitoring, alerting, scheduling, CI/CD
processes, and cost management controls.
Support solution validation, demonstrations, UAT activities, and defect resolution.
Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle from intake to deployment.
Identify and communicate risks, dependencies, scope changes, and key decisions to stakeholders.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data Platform, Analytics, or Data
Engineering initiatives.
Strong experience working in Agile environments, including backlog management, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
Expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and traceability documentation.
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), Confluence, Miro, or Visio.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to Databricks including Workspaces, Jobs, Notebooks, Delta Tables, Delta Live
Tables, and Unity Catalog.
Understanding of Data Mesh concepts, data products, domain ownership, and federated
governance.
Knowledge of data governance, security, compliance, and enterprise data management
practices.
Experience with data cataloging and governance platforms.

Working Model

Collaborate with business stakeholders, governance teams, platform engineering teams, and domain data product teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and delivery processes.
Support end-to-end project lifecycle including requirement gathering, development, testing, and release activities.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
