About the Role
At Ibtida Ek Mehfil, design moves — literally.
We are looking for a Motion & Environment Designer who works across dimensions—2D, 3D, digital, and spatial—to bring culture to life through moving images, cinematic animations, and experiential visual environments.
From designing the intro of a baithak film to creating immersive 3D renders of a tomb-inspired stage—this role demands a visual composer who understands movement, mood, and meaning.
Core Responsibilities1. Motion Design (2D & 3D)
- Develop high-quality 2D/3D animations for digital campaigns, reels, teasers, trailers, and experiential content
- Animate titles, transitions, visual poetry, artist intros, and motion elements for Ibtida’s IPs
- Create atmospheric animations for LED installations, event visuals, and immersive screen experiences
- Design culturally inspired motion templates with a strong sense of rhythm and typography
2. 3D & Environmental Visualisation
- Build 3D concept renders of stage design, venue layouts, installations, and scenography
- Collaborate with production teams to develop physical environments, lighting maps, and atmospheric settings
- Design virtual walkthroughs or mood-based videos for sponsors, stakeholders, or ticketing pages
3. Creative Ideation & Direction
- Translate poetic briefs, brand narratives, and moodboards into visual movement pieces
- Work with curators, editors, and content teams to choreograph the flow of each experience
- Contribute to experiential pitch decks, visual simulations, and presentation narratives
4. Technical & Output Mastery
- Deliver platform-ready assets (Instagram, YouTube, LED walls, projection mapping, print)
- Work on multi-resolution exports for events, installations, and brand campaigns
- Ensure renders, exports, and assets are optimised for scale, speed, and fidelity
Tools & Software Proficiency
Motion / Animation
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Cinema 4D / Blender
- Adobe Animate (optional)
- Sound design layering (basic level)
3D & Environment Design
- Blender / Cinema 4D / SketchUp / Rhino
- Keyshot or Octane for rendering
- Adobe Substance (plus)
- Unreal Engine (plus but not mandatory)
Design & Layout
- Photoshop / Illustrator
- Figma (for collaborative moodboarding or UI)
- Knowledge of print design (basic layout and export for environmental assets)
Who You Are
- A visual thinker fluent in motion, scale, space, and silence
- Culturally rooted with a keen eye for Indian motifs, architecture, textiles, and symbolism
- Curious about movement—not just as animation, but as emotion
- Collaborative, deadline-driven, and used to dynamic briefs
- Able to handle briefs ranging from theatrical concert intros to subtle motion invites to cinematic brand sizzles
