Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Trainer to join our new branch in Kollam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering training programs on warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, procurement, and global logistics operations. Candidates with Gulf logistics experience will be given high preference.
Job Summary (Simplified)
We are looking for a knowledgeable Logistics and Supply Chain Trainer who can teach students the practical aspects of moving goods — from warehouse operations to freight forwarding, inventory management, and international shipping. If you have worked in Gulf logistics companies (UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain) in an operations or training role, you will be strongly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on logistics and supply chain topics
- Teach modules including:
- Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Warehouse Operations and Management
- Inventory Control and Stock Management
- Transportation Management (Road, Air, Sea, Rail)
- Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance
- Procurement and Vendor Management
- Supply Chain Planning and Forecasting
- Reverse Logistics and Returns Management
- Documentation (Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Invoice, Packing List)
- Logistics Software and Systems Basics
- Use case studies, real-world scenarios, and hands-on exercises
- Assess student understanding through tests, assignments, and practical demonstrations
Curriculum Development
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, handouts, and assessments
- Align curriculum with current logistics industry standards and Gulf logistics practices
- Create mock documentation forms (warehouse receipts, shipping documents, customs forms)
- Integrate soft skills training (communication with clients, vendors, and transport teams)
Student Assessment & Support
- Evaluate student performance through written exams, practical tasks, and projects
- Provide constructive feedback and additional support to struggling students
- Prepare students for logistics job interviews and internship placements
- Maintain student attendance, grades, and progress reports
Practical Exposure & Internship Coordination
- Coordinate with local logistics companies, warehouses, and freight forwarders for student visits and internships
- Arrange guest lectures from practicing logistics professionals
- Simulate logistics software training if available or using demo tools
- Guide students on resume preparation for logistics and supply chain roles
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain training records, attendance logs, and assessment results
- Prepare monthly training progress reports for management
- Keep curriculum and training materials updated and organized
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure training follows institute policies and logistics training standards
- Assist in internal and external audit preparations for the training department
- Maintain confidentiality of student and training records
