We are looking for a reliable, creative, and highly motivated
Social Media Growth Manager to help grow Punjabi podcast, video, social media, and online community channels.
This is a remote role for someone who understands Punjabi language, Punjabi culture, Punjabi humour, social media trends, and short-form video content. The right person should be able to watch long Punjabi videos or podcasts and identify the best moments that can be turned into reels, shorts, captions, posts, and community engagement content.

Main Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of this role is to help grow Punjabi media and podcast channels by converting long-form video content into engaging short-form content and distributing it across different social media and community platforms.
The person will work closely with the video editor and will be responsible for identifying strong content moments, preparing captions, managing posting schedules, sharing content in community groups, monitoring engagement, and helping grow the channels consistently.
Key Responsibilities1. Punjabi Video and Podcast Review
- Watch long Punjabi podcast episodes, interviews, event videos, and other video content.
- Understand the discussion, humour, emotions, stories, and cultural references.
- Identify the best reel-worthy moments from the video.
- Prepare timestamp notes for the video editor.
- Suggest which parts should be turned into reels, shorts, quote posts, or promotional clips.
2. Reel and Short-Form Content Planning
- Select strong moments for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and TikTok.
- Write clear hooks and titles for each reel.
- Suggest thumbnail text or on-screen text.
- Explain why each clip may perform well.
- Coordinate with the video editor so final clips are created properly.
3. Caption Writing and Social Media Posting
- Write engaging captions in Punjabi, Hinglish, and English where suitable.
- Prepare platform-specific captions and hashtags.
- Upload or schedule content across social media platforms.
- Maintain a regular posting calendar.
- Ensure posts are professional, accurate, and suitable for the audience.
4. Facebook Page and Community Management
- Manage Facebook pages and community posts.
- Share videos, reels, podcast clips, announcements, and updates.
- Monitor comments and messages.
- Reply to simple comments and enquiries professionally.
- Escalate important or sensitive messages when required.
5. WhatsApp Community and Group Management
- Share approved content in WhatsApp communities and groups.
- Prepare short promotional messages for podcast clips, reels, and updates.
- Help build engagement in Punjabi community groups.
- Track which posts are shared and where they are posted.
6. Content Calendar and Tracking
- Maintain a content calendar.
- Track which videos are received from the editor.
- Track which reels are pending, posted, or scheduled.
- Keep records of captions, links, posting dates, and platform performance.
- Submit daily and weekly reports.
7. Channel Growth and Research
- Research trending Punjabi content, podcast pages, reels, influencers, event pages, and community topics.
- Suggest new video ideas, reel ideas, hooks, and content angles.
- Track which type of content performs best.
- Help improve reach, engagement, followers, and audience loyalty.
Required Skills
The applicant must have:
- Punjabi as a native language or very strong Punjabi understanding.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Punjabi culture, humour, music, events, and community audience.
- Ability to understand long Punjabi conversations and identify interesting moments.
- Good writing skills for captions in Punjabi, Hinglish, and English.
- Basic knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and WhatsApp communities.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable internet connection and own laptop/computer.
- Ability to submit clear daily reports.
- Willingness to learn and improve.
Preferred Skills
The following skills are preferred but not compulsory:
- Experience managing social media pages.
- Experience with podcast or video content.
- Experience selecting clips from long videos.
- Basic Canva skills.
- Basic CapCut or video editing understanding.
- Experience growing social media pages or YouTube channels.
- Understanding of hashtags, thumbnails, hooks, and short-form video trends.
Important Requirement
This role is not only about posting on social media.
The most important part of the job is the ability to:
Watch Punjabi video content, understand the context, and identify the best moments that can become engaging reels or short-form videos.
Applicants who only know basic posting but cannot understand Punjabi video content properly may not be suitable for this role.
Daily Tasks May Include
- Watching Punjabi video content.
- Selecting reel moments with timestamps.
- Writing captions and hooks.
- Coordinating with the video editor.
- Posting reels and videos across platforms.
- Sharing content in WhatsApp and Facebook communities.
- Replying to basic comments and messages.
- Researching trending content.
- Updating the content tracker.
- Sending a daily work report.
Daily Report Requirement
The selected candidate must send a daily report including:
- Videos watched
- Reel timestamps selected
- Captions written
- Posts uploaded or scheduled
- Platforms posted on
- WhatsApp/Facebook groups posted in
- Comments/messages replied to
- Best performing content
- Pending tasks
- Questions or issues
Trial Task
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a small trial task.
The trial task may include watching a short Punjabi video clip and providing:
- Best reel moments with timestamps
- Suggested reel titles/hooks
- Captions in Punjabi/Hinglish/English
- Suggested thumbnail text
- Explanation of why each moment is suitable for social media
This trial will help assess Punjabi understanding, content sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
