Job Title: Graphic Designer & Social Media Content Executive

Department: Marketing & Communications

Location: Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: Marketing / Management

1. Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and execution-oriented Graphic Designer & Social Media Content Executive who can create professional visual content for the organisation's social media, events, marketing campaigns and digital communication.

The candidate will be responsible for designing social media posts, event creatives, banners, presentations and promotional materials, along with creating basic animations, reels and short-form videos.

The ideal candidate should have a good eye for design, typography, composition and branding, along with an understanding of current social media trends.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Graphic Design

Create visually appealing and professional designs for social media and digital platforms.

Design posts, carousels, banners, event creatives, invitations, certificates, brochures and promotional materials.

Create creatives for conferences, summits, webinars, awards, campaigns and other organisational activities.

Adapt designs into different sizes and formats for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other platforms.

Maintain consistency with the organisation's brand guidelines, colours, fonts and visual identity.

Edit and enhance photographs for digital and social media use.

Develop design concepts based on briefs received from the marketing and management teams.

B. Social Media Creative Development

Create engaging daily/weekly social media creatives based on the approved content calendar.

Design LinkedIn posts, Instagram posts, stories, carousels and event promotions.

Convert existing content, photographs and event information into attractive visual communication.

Create promotional creatives for upcoming events, speaker announcements, registrations, sponsors and event highlights.

Repurpose existing content into multiple formats suitable for different social media platforms.

Stay updated with current social media design trends and creative formats.

C. Basic Animation & Video Editing

Create basic animated posts, motion graphics and promotional videos.

Edit short-form videos, Reels, Shorts and event highlight videos.

Add text animation, transitions, subtitles, music and other basic visual effects.

Create animated event announcements, countdowns, speaker introductions and promotional content.

Convert static designs into simple motion-based creatives.

Resize and optimise videos for different social media platforms.

Basic knowledge of storyboarding and visual sequencing will be an advantage.

D. Event & Marketing Support

Develop creative assets for conferences, summits, awards, exhibitions and corporate events.

Create speaker announcement posts, sponsor creatives, agenda graphics and event countdowns.

Support the marketing team with last-minute creative requirements during events.

Prepare digital creatives for email campaigns, WhatsApp communication and online promotions.

Coordinate with the event, marketing and content teams to understand creative requirements.

E. Content & Creative Coordination

Understand creative briefs and convert ideas into effective visual communication.

Coordinate with the content/social media team to ensure timely delivery of creatives.

Take feedback positively and make revisions within agreed timelines.

Maintain organised folders and source files for all creative work.

Ensure accuracy of names, dates, logos, event information and other details before publishing.

3. Required Skills

Strong knowledge of graphic design principles.

Good understanding of layout, typography, colour, composition and visual hierarchy.

Good knowledge of social media creative formats.

Basic knowledge of animation and motion graphics.

Good video editing skills for short-form content.

Creative thinking and strong visual sense.

Attention to detail.

Ability to understand briefs and work independently.

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Good communication and coordination skills.

4. Software / Tools

The candidate should have working knowledge of some or most of the following:

Canva

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Premiere Pro / CapCut

Adobe After Effects – basic knowledge preferred

Other AI-based design and content creation tools will be an advantage.

Current job postings commonly mention Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro/CapCut and basic motion graphics or animation for similar roles.

5. Qualification & Experience

Education:

Graduate / Diploma / Certification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, Animation, Digital Media or a related field.

Experience:

1–3 years of relevant experience in graphic design, social media design, digital content creation or video editing.

Freshers with a strong portfolio and demonstrable practical skills may also be considered.

6. Portfolio

A portfolio is mandatory and should preferably include:

Social media posts

LinkedIn creatives

Instagram posts/carousels

Event creatives

Banners/posters

Reels or short videos

Basic animation/motion graphics

Before-and-after photo editing examples

7. Performance Expectations

The candidate will be expected to:

Deliver creatives within agreed timelines.

Maintain high standards of visual quality and brand consistency.

Produce both static and basic animated content.

Respond quickly to event-related and marketing requirements.

Continuously improve creative quality based on feedback and social media trends.

Maintain accuracy and professionalism in all published content.

Number of creatives/reels delivered as per monthly plan.

Turnaround time for urgent/event requirements.

9. Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is someone who is:
