Associate Director - Product Management
Who We Are
Wayfair is seeking a senior product leader to shape and scale our global core customer data infrastructure, frameworks, and services. This portfolio is critical for processing the many customer touchpoints (implicit and explicit) and gathering and providing other core systems with reliable and relevant customer information. Included in this portfolio are some of the most core aspects of a customer’s profile including Location, Address, and Authentication.
You will partner with Wayfair’s Physical Retail, Fulfillment, Privacy/Security, Web & App Customer Experience, Platforms, and Personalization teams to drive product strategy, roadmaps, and delivery across a broad set of customer journeys. The Associate Director, Product Management will serve as the key internal product expert of Customer Data Quality bringing deep prior platform experience & organizational leadership.
This leader will also be responsible for people management of 4+ PMs based in Bangalore, dedicated to delivering outcomes across these important domains. A strong candidate is an adept strategic thinker and product operator, with proven success balancing pragmatism with scale and hands-on involvement delivering results with their teams.
This position is based in Bangalore with hybrid in-office expectations (M/W/F in person at the Bangalore office).
The Role
We're seeking an experienced Associate Director of Product Management to drive product strategy and execution across customer data. You’ll drive a long-term, multi-year portfolio strategy that scales impact across multiple strategic business outcomes. You'll own a rolling 12–18 month strategy spanning multiple pods and teams, lead and develop product managers, and partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and senior business stakeholders to deliver solutions that move key business and customer outcomes.
What You'll Do
Define and execute a rolling multi-team product vision, strategy, and platform roadmap with an 18-month horizon
Author cohesive platform strategy and guide cross-pod prioritization and sequencing
Own end-to-end product lifecycle — from problem discovery through launch — using data-driven decision making
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers (typically 2–4 direct reports)
Influence executive stakeholders and own senior-level stakeholder alignment across the organization
Drive alignment across Engineering, Design, Data Science, and business functions
We Are a Match Because You Have
10+ years of product management experience in an agile development environment
3+ years in leadership roles managing teams and/or other product managers
Proven track record launching and scaling complex, customer-facing products & platforms
Ability to define and communicate platform-level strategy & how it will unlock multiple business objectives in concert to both executives and engineers
Strong technical fluency; comfortable partnering with senior engineering and data science teams. Ability to identify 1-way vs. 2-way door decisions & de-risk complex builds
Data-driven mindset with exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities at the executive level
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
