The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Lead – Quality Control Quality Assurance Lead and institutionalize a group-wide quality excellence framework across multiple business verticals through governance, standardization, compliance, operational excellence, and quality transformation initiatives across evolute group various business verticals including EMS Repair-Refurbishment services, Own embedded biometric products battery packs manufacturing, electronic components modules. etc. This senior role will report directly to Senior Management and focus on ensuring harmonization of quality practices, operational excellence in QC/QA, strong auditing capabilities, and full compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 30414, STQC, and other applicable standards.
Key functional responsibilities include:
- Oversee and harmonize end-to-end QC QA activities across EMS, repair/refurbishment, embedded biometric products and battery pack manufacturing and component distribution.
- Implement proactive Quality Assurance processes and reactive Quality Control measures for prevention of defects, high yield, and low DPPM.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 30414 and other relevant standards.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, statutory, regulatory, and STQC BIS, GEM standards.
- Drive digital transformation automation along with AI in QMS for real-time monitoring reporting.
- Support cross-functional teams in risk-based thinking, FMEA continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define and implement a group-level quality governance framework ensuring standardization across multiple facilities and business units.
- Establish group-wide quality governance framework across all business units.
- Define enterprise quality KPIs and reporting dashboards.
- Drive Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction initiatives.
- Develop quality maturity roadmap across business verticals.
- Define escalation matrix for critical quality failures.
- Lead Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma projects, and Kaizen implementation.
- Conduct process gap analysis, waste elimination, and cost reduction programs.
- Implement and sustain 5S, and Total Quality Management (TQM) practices.
- Drive process re-engineering, cycle time reduction, and defect rate improvement projects.
- Develop and deploy strategic initiatives aligning quality objectives with business goals.
Audits and Compliance:
Plan conduct internal, supplier, customer, and external audits to ensure compliance.
Ensure strict adherence to IPC-A-610, RoHS, STQC, and all group ISO certifications (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 30414).
Monitor and track closure timelines of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) while ensuring effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Ensure inter-site harmonization of quality processes and coordinate group-wide audit programs.
Supplier Quality Vendor Management:
Conduct supplier qualifications, audits, and performance evaluations with CFT support.
Implement Supplier Quality Agreements (SQA) and drive supplier improvements through structured review mechanisms.
Develop supplier risk assessment models drive improvements across the supply chain.
Customer Interaction Complaint Resolution
Interface with internal and external customers regarding compliance requirements.
Lead Quality Review Meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
Drive a proactive approach to customer quality assurance through real-time monitoring and analytics.
Drive systemic RCA for recurring customer complaints
Training and Development:
Develop structured training programs on quality, lean practices, process improvements, and Total Quality Management.
Train and mentor QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, and cross-functional teams on ISO standards, RoHS, 5S, ESD control, and auditing techniques.
Implement leadership development initiatives for QA QC professionals across multiple business units.
Build succession and capability development plans.
8. Leadership, Reporting Development•
Support and collaborate with the reporting leadership while providing direction to QA/QC teams across group companies.
Track and improve group-level quality metrics and present consolidated reports to Senior Management.
Develop and deliver training on QA/QC skills, ISO standards, and auditing best practices.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchase, Design, and business unit heads for quality matters, customer complaints, and supplier quality management.
Influence business heads for quality culture adoption.
You will earn brownie points if you have
- Experience in Battery Pack, POS device, SMT manufacturing, EMS, repair/refurbishment, or component distribution businesses.
- Ability to provide training, documentation support, and individual audits on ISO standards.
- Experience in automation tools for quality assurance reporting analytics, including AI tools.
- Knowledge of CMMI Level 3, R2V3, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Expertise in developing and executing corporate-wide quality improvement roadmaps.
- Six Sigma Black Belt and Lead Auditor certification.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Quality Management Software, and data-driven reporting tools….
- Diploma / bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in Quality Control Quality Assurance with strong exposure to Operational Excellence and Process Improvement in the EMS/electronics industry.
- Strong hands-on expertise in major QA/QC skills: SPC, FMEA, RCA (8D/5-Why), statistical analysis, defect prevention, and process validation.
- Proven auditing skills with experience in planning and conducting internal, supplier, customer, and external audits as per ISO 9001:2015 and related standards; Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 30414, STQC, IPC-A-610, RoHS, and other applicable standards.
- Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and Kaizen implementation.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
