The Lead Tableau Developer is a senior BI professional responsible for leading Tableau initiatives, defining visualization standards, and delivering scalable, high-performance analytics solutions. Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Tableau solution delivery (requirements to production support)

Develop complex, interactive dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud
Build advanced calculations (LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters, actions)

Collaborate with data engineering teams on data modeling and ETL logic
Support integrations with data warehouses and cloud platforms
Optimize extracts, live connections, and server performance
Implement data security, row-level security (RLS), and access controls
Ensure adherence to enterprise BI governance standards
Mentor developers and conduct design/code reviews
Act as escalation point for production issues
Drive continuous improvement in BI development practices
Must Have Skills
6–9+ years of BI / analytics experience
5+ years of strong hands-on Tableau development experience
Expert-level proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud
Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, joins, aggregations, performance tuning)
Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
Experience leading Tableau projects or small BI teams
Experience implementing performance tuning and row-level security (RLS)
Strong stakeholder management and requirement-gathering skills
