Liabify is a UAE-based fintech platform offering Salary Advance Loans to individuals, scaling rapidly across the GCC. We build highly scalable, compliant financial infrastructure to support real-time disbursement, repayment tracking, and complex B2B employer integrations.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the architecture, automation, and security of our multi-cloud microservices environment. In this role, you will transition our infrastructure into a modern 2026 ecosystem moving beyond basic pipelines into GitOps, Platform Engineering, and advanced FinOps. You will ensure high performance, resiliency, and strict regulatory compliance for Liabify's core financial operations, salary-linked lending workflows, and wallet systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Engineering & Infrastructure Automation
· Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive automated, multi-cloud provisioning and configuration management across Azure and GCP using Terraform and Crossplane.
· Internal Developer Platforms (IDP): Architect and maintain self-service platforms using frameworks like Backstage to streamline developer deployment workflows.
· GitOps & Delivery: Establish and scale pull-based GitOps deployment methodologies using ArgoCD or FluxCD for automated Kubernetes cluster synchronization.
· Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage, upgrade, and troubleshoot production workloads across Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and GCP Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
· CI/CD & DevSecOps: Design, maintain, and secure enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines, embedding automated testing, policy enforcement, and security controls throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Security, GCC Compliance & FinOps
· Fintech Compliance: Implement security baselines, network access controls, and Confidential Computing patterns aligned with PCI-DSS standards for card issuance and payment processing.
· Cloud FinOps: Institutionalize a cost-conscious engineering culture using tools from cloud or (Any) like Kubecost or OpenCost to monitor and optimize multi-cloud spending.
· Data Sovereignty: Architect cloud solutions that strictly adhere to data residency and regional sovereign cloud regulations (e.g., UAE Central Bank, SAMA frameworks).
· Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with IT Security and Architecture teams to proactively mitigate system vulnerabilities and enforce modern cloud security standards.
· Cloud Standards & Governance: Define and institutionalize cloud security standards, reference architectures, patterns, and deployment guidelines for cloud-native and hybrid workloads.
Reliability & Advanced Observability
· Modern Observability Stack: Build robust telemetry, logging, and tracing systems across all clusters using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK, exploring eBPF-based tools (e.g., Cilium) for zero-overhead visibility.
· Incident Response: Lead application and infrastructure incident response efforts, ensuring high availability (99.99%) and seamless disaster recovery for critical financial microservices.
· Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the core internal SME for Microsoft Azure and GCP, mentoring application teams on cloud-native patterns and scalable microservices infrastructure.
· Application Enablement: Partner with engineering teams to support digital transformation initiatives, cloud-native modernization, and hybrid migration efforts across business-critical services.
Required Experience & Skills
· Cloud Platforms: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud engineering and building enterprise-grade Azure DevOps pipelines.
· Containerization & GitOps: Proven experience with production-grade Kubernetes (AKS/GKE) administration, service mesh, and GitOps tools (ArgoCD/FluxCD).
· Automation Frameworks: Advanced proficiency with Terraform; familiarity with cloud control planes (Crossplane) is a major plus.
· FinOps Mastery: Practical experience tracking and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs using Kubecost or cloud-native optimization tools.
· Fintech & Compliance Domain: Familiarity with payment gateways, card processor APIs (Visa/Mastercard), and implementing PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
· Data Layer: Strong experience with relational databases (SQL) and infrastructure-level performance tuning.
o Event-Driven Architecture: Experience designing and supporting event-driven systems and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for reliable financial workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
· Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification is a plus, not mandatory.
· Multi-Cloud Operations: Strong operational knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystems.
· Advanced Networking & Security: Experience with eBPF technology (Cilium/Tetragon) and implementing API security protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
· AI Infrastructure: Exposure to provisioning infrastructure for AI/ML workloads or scaling vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant).
Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹72,000.00 per month
