Technical Trainer – Placement Excellence

Core Mandate: Placement-First Training Philosophy
Unlike traditional academic roles, this position exists exclusively to drive placement outcomes. Every training session, every module, and every assessment must be reverse-engineered from one question: What does it take for our student to clear a top company's hiring process?
Phase 1: Foundation Bootcamp (Semester 5–6)
- Intensive DSA with company-pattern problem solving (LeetCode Top 150, GFG Must-Do)
- Core CS: DBMS, OS, CN — taught through actual interview question banks
- Programming proficiency in Python and Java with focus on clean, testable code
- Aptitude & logical reasoning — tied directly to company-specific test formats
Phase 2: Company Readiness (Semester 7)
- Role-specific tracks: SDE, Data Analyst, IT Ops, Cloud, Product (separated by student interest)
- Company-mapped preparation: FAANG, service companies (TCS/Infosys/Wipro), mid-tier product firms
- Live mock assessments simulating actual platforms: AMCAT, CoCubes, HackerRank, Mettl
- HR round coaching, group discussions, and presentation skills
Phase 3: Placement Season Execution (Semester 8)
- Real-time resume review and LinkedIn profile optimization before each drive
- Pre-drive briefings: company background, typical question patterns, panel expectations
- Post-interview debriefs: document what was asked, update preparation material
- Continued coaching for students who miss early opportunities
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training Delivery
- Design and deliver structured training programs across: C, C++, Java, Python, DSA, SQL, OS, CN, Web Technologies, AI/ML basics
- Maintain a living problem bank mapped to company-wise difficulty levels
- Run weekly coding sprints on HackerRank, LeetCode, CodeChef — track individual improvement
- Deliver at least 2 domain-deep workshops per month (System Design, ML Basics, Cloud 101, etc.)
Placement Pipeline Management
- Maintain and regularly update a student readiness dashboard (placement score per student)
- Identify at-risk students (low scores, poor attendance) and initiate targeted intervention plans
- Coordinate with the Placement Officer on company drives: scheduling, eligibility mapping, slot allocation
- Conduct pre-placement orientation for every company visit — tailor it to that company's profile
- Track post-placement follow-ups: offer letter status, joining confirmation, any issues
Content & Curriculum Development
- Build a centralized digital resource hub: topic-wise notes, video links, practice sheets
- Develop and maintain an Assessment Bank with 500+ questions tagged by company, topic, difficulty
- Create semester-wise training calendar with clear milestones and deliverables
- Update content every 6 months based on recruiter feedback and changing interview patterns
Industry Connect & Intelligence
- Maintain relationships with at least 5 HR/Tech contacts at active recruiting companies
- Attend campus recruitment events, tech fests, and HR conclaves to stay current
- Invite industry professionals for guest lectures, mock interviews, and panel reviews (≥4/semester)
- Collect and analyze post-placement feedback from placed students to refine training
Mentoring & Student Support
- Assign and track individual mentoring for all final-year students
- Conduct bi-weekly one-on-one sessions with struggling students
- Support students in building portfolios: GitHub, Kaggle, personal projects, certifications
- Guide students on higher education options (GATE, GRE, MBA) as an alternate track
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in CSE, IT, AI & ML, Data Science, ECE, or a related discipline
- Strong coding proficiency in at least two of: C, C++, Java, Python
- Deep conceptual knowledge of DSA, DBMS, Operating Systems, and Computer Networks
- Proven ability to explain complex concepts in simple, engaging ways
- Demonstrated ability to drive measurable outcomes — placement rates, student progress
- Excellent communication, presentation, and one-on-one mentoring skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Placement Trainer, Coding Instructor, or Software Developer with mentoring exposure
- Hands-on experience preparing students for mass recruiting drives (TCS NQT, Infosys InfyTQ, Wipro NLTH, etc.)
- Certifications in Java (Oracle), Python (PCEP/PCAP), AWS, GCP, Azure, Data Science, or similar
- Active profiles on coding platforms with demonstrable problem-solving history
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), assessment tools, or EdTech platforms
- Familiarity with ATS systems and modern recruitment processes
