About the Role

Unilights is looking for a young, confident, energetic and highly driven Business Development Executive who loves meeting people, starting conversations and turning opportunities into business.

This is a field-oriented business development role focused on architects and interior designers across Mumbai.

Leads will be provided by Unilights. Your responsibility will be to take those leads, connect with the right people, arrange meetings, build relationships, understand their projects and ultimately convert them into Unilights clients.

We are looking for someone who has the confidence and ambition to approach senior architects and interior designers and the persistence to follow through until business is generated.

Key Responsibilities

Work on qualified leads provided by Unilights and convert them into business opportunities.
Meet architects, interior designers, design studios, contractors and project decision-makers across Mumbai.
Meet at least one Principal Architect / Principal Interior Designer every working day.
Strike meaningful conversations with architects and interior designers and develop long-term professional relationships.
Introduce Unilights, our lighting solutions and our capabilities to prospective clients.
Identify upcoming residential, commercial, hospitality and other projects where Unilights can participate.
Conduct daily field visits and consistently expand the professional network.
Follow up with leads and prospects regularly and professionally.
Understand client requirements and coordinate with the internal team to provide suitable lighting solutions.
Take ownership of the complete sales journey—from lead → meeting → relationship → project opportunity → order → repeat business.
Convert architects and interior designers into active Unilights clients who continue to work with us.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve monthly business-development and sales targets.

Leads Will Be Provided

You will NOT be expected to find everything from scratch.

Unilights will provide leads and business opportunities.

Your job is to:

Take the Lead → Make the Call → Fix the Meeting → Meet the Architect/Designer → Build the Relationship → Create the Opportunity → Close the Deal.

We want someone who can take a provided lead and turn it into a long-term client relationship.

Daily ExpectationsEvery Day

Work on leads provided by Unilights.
Make calls and initiate conversations.
Conduct field visits.
Meet architects and interior designers.
Follow up with prospects.
Identify project opportunities.
Move prospects closer to conversion.

Every Working Day

Meet at least one Principal Architect or Principal Interior Designer in Mumbai.

The objective is not simply to collect visiting cards.

The objective is to build genuine relationships that result in business for Unilights.

Every Month

Build and maintain a strong prospect pipeline.
Convert provided leads into meetings and opportunities.
Convert opportunities into Unilights clients.
Generate repeat business.
Achieve assigned sales targets.

Qualification

MBA / BBA / B.Com / Graduate in any discipline.
MBA freshers are welcome.
0–3 years of experience.
Candidates with experience in sales/business development will be preferred.
Experience in lighting, architecture, interiors, furniture, building materials, real estate or related industries will be an advantage.
Excellent communication and personality are more important than years of experience.
