Job Summary:

We are looking for a Materials Manager to lead our Pressure Management, Chengalpattu, MWC team. This role will Lead and empower the team to provide excellent planning and purchasing solutions with accurate inventory control and logistics solutions ensuring to fulfill Business targets in adherence to the company internal policies and standards.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Responsible for Purchasing, Warehousing, Material and Production Planning, Sub- contracting, Inventory management and Logistics (in-bound and out-bound)
Meet Business Monthly Target (Budget, POR, Inventory) , manage External parties (Customer & Supplier) – RDSL
Strategize, Establish and Monitor Planning and Purchasing procedures, rules, guidelines and making progress to align with business and corporate plan
Make sure company's supply chain is functional at every given point in the time thru optimal and steady inflow of material with efficient logistic cost.
Accurately & Timely report out Monthly / Annually Performance result to Top Management
Drive Supplier performance and Service Level Improvements through periodical reviews and align with Power BI Dashboards
Ensure timely resolution on issues related to inward stores and quality linked with supplies.
Coordinate with internal and external parties to meet the company's need
Lead Material team to realize short, medium- and long-term objectives.
Identify and remove obstacles and to meet the company target by taking immediate action on issues, by working closely with internal and external parties
Predict spike, manage orders, special configuration, extra ordinary demand from customers and deliver results
Identify improvement and update inventory based on ABC Classification as needed.
Monitor smooth implementation of SIOP and planning in pace
Develop Effective team to build flexible workforce capable of meeting variable demand or expansion of load
Create a strong team spirit and positive working environment among team member through effective communication and participation
Coach for team’s performance, develop people, promote flexibility and job rotation.
Enhance and ensure team are running effectively and ethically
Responsible to drive supplier performance in area of delivery, lead time, capacity.
Direct/Indirect contribution to inter-department or External projects
Develop and implement inventory reduction programs including Lean Manufacturing, Kanban execution plan in coordination with Sales & Operations Planning team.
Manage Transporter operations, Pricing Contracts and Cost saving projects on freight in- bound and out-bound.
Sound knowledge on root cause analysis and counter measures against supplier issues on delivery and quality
Review, Approve / Disapprove Material Section related issues
Recommendations such as resources planning & alignment, risk assessment & its mitigation to the internal/external team
Alignment with strategic Supply Chain and driving all tactical initiatives to meet the strategic priorities.
Support new product development initiatives and coordination activities to meet the new product development timelines.
Internal control and process management for Purchasing process aligned with Trade compliance policies.
Indirect material procurement experience with cost reduction mindset to reduce factory overheads and expenses.
Drive purchase and warehousing processes through Oracle system and Power BI reports, highly focused on automating manual interventions.
Drive ISO and other system certification actions

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Good command on MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Good communications, negotiation, and people management skills.
- Basic Finance and Costing Knowledge is preferred.
- Familiar with ISO9001 Management System, as well as the requirements of Corporate Safety Management and Occupational Health Management is preferred.
- Must be a Self-driven & Self-motivated Leader.
- Knowledge of Kanban or JIT and Oracle software is a definite advantage
- Have experience in lean concept, example Kanban.
- Worked in multi-national organization.
- Comfortable working in matrix organization setting with different culture and region.
