Full job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated ESG Data Quality Analyst to join our growing Sustainable Investment Data Ops team in Bangalore. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new function focused on ensuring the integrity and accuracy of ESG data used in FTSE's Sustainable Index products.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform quarterly reviews of data inputs and outputs across a range of in-house and third-party ESG datasets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Investigate and challenge data anomalies and exceptions with data vendors, maintaining a high standard of due diligence.
Produce exception trend reports to support ongoing data quality monitoring and improvement.
Participate in the evaluation of new ESG datasets, including vendor due diligence and data coverage analysis.
Contribute to the improvement of systems and processes, working closely with IT Engineers and Product Team
Work in a fast-paced environment with large-scale ESG data sets.

Key Requirements:

2+ years of experience working with ESG/Sustainable Investment data.
Strong analytical attitude with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience in vendor management and exception handling is desirable.
Ability to work with large, sophisticated datasets and systems.
Experience or familiarity with SQL and Python is a plus (not crucial).
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to clearly articulate data quality issues and collaborate effectively across teams and with vendors.
A proactive, solution-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn about ESG data and systems.
