The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Learning Team is looking for a Technical Training Specialist to serve as our first dedicated Learning Lab Manager, in Hyderabad. We operate a growing portfolio of Learning Labs in data centers around the world: facilities that provide hands-on simulators to train technicians on a growing set of engineering operations tasks. We're already operating "flight simulators for data center operations" to teach electrical tasks; now we're going to expand our simulator portfolio to include mechanical and cooling tasks—and we're just getting started.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Key job responsibilities
Our Learning Lab Manager (HYD) will manage all aspects of the large-scale stand-alone Learning Lab at HYD007, including scheduling trainings, conducting VIP tours, training-the-trainers, and managing Yellow Badge reports (such as janitorial staff). They will report directly to Data Center Learning Labs team leadership; coordinate closely (dotted line reporting) with HYD data center leadership; and work collaboratively with the global Data Center Learning Labs team, in SEA, SYD, DUB, and PDX.
About the team
Data Center Learning is the single-threaded leader for learning and development across all of our AWS Infrastructure Services data centers. We are a team of curriculum developers, technical trainers, product and program managers, localization experts, and many more who are obsessed with the quality of training in our data centers and the value that training brings to the business.
