Role Summary
We are looking for a strongTechno-Functional candidate with mandatory experience in theLife Insurance domain. The candidate will be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and delivery teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, design solutions, support application delivery, and manage production support activities.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience inbusiness analysis, requirement gathering, solution design, delivery coordination, production support, SQL, Agile methodology, JIRA, and should possess a good understanding of application development concepts. Experience withIngenium Life Insurance application will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis Requirement Management
- Work with business users, operations teams, product teams, and technology stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops and document business requirements clearly.
- PrepareBRD, FSD, user stories, process flows, use cases, impact assessment documents, and functional specifications.
- Analyze current-state processes and recommend future-state solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements for development teams.
- Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
Life Insurance Domain Expertise
- Apply strong understanding ofLife Insurance business processes, including policy administration, new business, underwriting, servicing, billing, claims, policy changes, surrender, reinstatement, loans, premium processing, and payouts.
- Work on core insurance systems and related upstream/downstream integrations.
- Understand insurance product configuration, policy lifecycle, customer servicing, and regulatory/business compliance needs.
- Provide domain guidance to technology teams during solution design and implementation.
Ingenium Application Experience
- Experience inIngenium application is highly preferred.
- Should be able to understand Ingenium functionality, data structures, business rules, transactions, and integration touchpoints.
- Support analysis, configuration understanding, troubleshooting, and enhancement delivery within Ingenium or similar Life Insurance policy administration platforms.
Solution Design Functional Consulting
- Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and business teams to design scalable and practical solutions.
- Prepare solution approach documents, functional design documents, and system impact assessments.
- Evaluate solution options and recommend best-fit approaches based on business needs, system capabilities, cost, risk, and delivery timelines.
- Support technical teams in understanding business logic, functional rules, and expected outcomes.
Delivery Management
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery of enhancements, projects, production fixes, and system changes.
- Track deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Work closely with project managers, scrum masters, development teams, QA teams, and business users.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, prioritization, release planning, and deployment activities.
- Ensure timely communication and status reporting to stakeholders.
Production Support
- Provide functional and technical support for production issues.
- Analyze incidents, identify root causes, coordinate fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
- Work with L2/L3 support, development teams, infrastructure teams, and business users.
- Perform SQL-based data analysis to support issue investigation and reconciliation.
- Support problem management, defect triage, RCA documentation, and preventive action planning.
- Ensure adherence to support SLAs and production stability expectations.
Technical Developer Knowledge
- Possess good understanding of software development lifecycle and application architecture.
- Ability to read and understand technical designs, database structures, APIs, batch jobs, interfaces, and logs.
- Work effectively with developers to clarify requirements, validate solution logic, and review implementation approach.
- Basic understanding of coding logic, debugging approach, system integrations, and deployment processes is expected.
SQL Data Analysis
- Strong hands-on experience inSQL is mandatory.
- Ability to write complex queries for data analysis, production issue investigation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Should be comfortable with joins, subqueries, aggregations, stored procedures, views, and data validation.
- Experience working with large datasets in insurance systems will be an advantage.
Agile, JIRA Tools
- Experience working inAgile/Scrum delivery methodology is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience withJIRA for user story creation, backlog management, sprint tracking, defect management, and reporting.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Exposure to Confluence, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar tools will be an added advantage.
AI Tools Exposure
- Exposure to AI tools or GenAI-based productivity tools is preferred.
- Ability to use AI tools for documentation, requirement analysis, test case assistance, data analysis, knowledge management, or productivity improvement.
- Awareness of responsible AI usage, data privacy, and governance expectations will be beneficial.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, Insurance, or SQL will be an added advantage.
- Strong Life Insurance domain experience is mandatory.
