Full job description

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Interior Designer who can independently manage projects from design conceptualization to execution and client payment follow-ups. The ideal candidate should have strong design expertise, excellent client-handling skills, and the ability to guide and manage a team of designers.

The candidate should have prior experience working on F&B, Retail, and Commercial Interior Projects and should be comfortable coordinating with clients, internal teams, vendors, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Project Management

Lead and manage interior design projects from concept to completion.
Develop design concepts, layouts, material selections, mood boards, and presentations.
Prepare and review detailed drawings, design documentation, and working drawings.
Ensure designs are aligned with client requirements, project timelines, budgets, and company standards.
Coordinate with execution/site teams to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
Conduct design reviews and resolve design-related issues during project execution.

2. Team Guidance & Management

Guide, mentor, and supervise Junior and Mid-Level Interior Designers.
Allocate work and monitor the team's progress and deliverables.
Review drawings, 3D views, presentations, and other design outputs prepared by the team.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion of design deliverables.
Provide technical and creative guidance to team members.

3. Client Management

Conduct client meetings and presentations independently.
Understand client requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
Maintain strong and professional relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Handle client feedback, revisions, approvals, and design-related concerns.
Present design proposals, material selections, layouts, and 3D visualizations to clients.
Act as the key point of contact for clients for design and project-related matters.

4. Coordination & Execution

Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Teams, Vendors, Contractors, and Consultants.
Attend site visits and review project progress.
Ensure drawings and designs are properly communicated to the execution team.
Identify and resolve design, material, and execution-related issues.
Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within timelines.

5. Commercial & Payment Follow-Ups

Track project milestones and coordinate with the internal accounts/commercial team regarding billing.
Follow up with clients for pending approvals, invoices, and payments.
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding outstanding payments.
Assist management in ensuring timely collections from clients.
Maintain proper records of client commitments, approvals, and payment status.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain project-wise design documentation and records.
Prepare project presentations, design proposals, and client reports.
Track project timelines, deliverables, revisions, and approvals.
Ensure all drawings and project documents are updated and properly maintained.

Software Proficiency:

The candidate should have strong working knowledge of relevant design and visualization software, including:

AutoCAD
3D Max
SketchUp
Adobe Photoshop
Canva
MS Office / PowerPoint
Other relevant Interior Design, 3D Visualization, and presentation software

Required Experience:

7+ years of relevant experience in Interior Design.
Strong experience in F&B Interior Projects is preferred.
Experience in Retail and Commercial Interior Projects.
Experience handling projects from concept/design stage through execution and completion.
Experience managing and guiding a team of designers.
Prior experience in client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and coordination.
Experience in following up with clients for approvals and payments will be an advantage.

Required Skills:

Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills.
Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and detailing.
Strong understanding of working drawings and design execution.
Excellent client-handling and communication skills.
Leadership and team-management capabilities.
Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good commercial understanding and project ownership.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under deadlines and deliver projects on time.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
