Position: Key Account Manager – Business Expansion & Channel Sales Development

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Vice President – Sales & Strategy

Location: Open (Travel Required)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation

- CTC: Up to ₹40,000 per month
- Performance Incentives: As per company policy
- Travel Allowance: As per company policy

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Key Account Manager (KAM) to drive channel partner development, and key account management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding the company's presence by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic channel partnerships, and managing existing key accounts to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a strong understanding of B2B sales, dealer/distributor management, relationship building, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Sales Development

- Recruit, onboard, and develop new channel partners, distributors, and dealers.
- Strengthen relationships with existing channel partners to maximize sales.
- Conduct regular partner meetings and performance reviews.
- Ensure channel partners receive adequate product and sales training.
- Monitor channel performance and implement improvement plans.

Key Account Management

- Manage strategic accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Develop long-term business relationships with enterprise customers.
- Handle commercial negotiations and contract renewals.
- Resolve customer concerns in coordination with internal teams.
- Increase wallet share from existing customers through upselling and cross-selling.
- Dealer Engagement
- Dealer Overdue payment tracking & reconciliation

Sales & Revenue Management

- Prepare sales forecasts and business plans.
- Track sales pipeline through CRM.
- Maintain accurate sales reports and MIS.
- Ensure timely payment collections from assigned accounts.

Market Intelligence

- Monitor competitor activities and pricing.
- Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.
- Identify emerging market trends and recommend business strategies.

Cross-functional Coordination

- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Service, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless customer support.
- Coordinate with Marketing for promotional campaigns and channel engagement activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA (Sales/Marketing) will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 4–6 years of experience in:
- Key Account Management
- Business Development
- Channel Sales
- Dealer/Distributor Management
- B2B Sales

Experience in EV, Automotive, Batteries, Mobility, Energy, Industrial Products, FMCG, Telecom, or Consumer Durables will be preferred.

Travel Requirement

- Extensive travel within the assigned territory is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel frequently for customer meetings, channel development, and channel expansion initiatives.
