JOB DESCRIPTION – SR. STORE KEEPER (HVAC MANUFACTURING)

Job Title: Sr. Store Keeper

Department: Stores & Warehouse

Industry: HVAC Manufacturing

Reports To: Store Incharge / Plant Manager

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: Diploma / Graduate in any discipline

Job Purpose

To manage and supervise all store and warehouse activities related to HVAC manufacturing, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and timely issuance of materials to support uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Manage receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of HVAC raw materials, components, consumables, and finished goods.

- Ensure proper storage and identification of GI sheets, coils, insulation materials, copper tubes, electrical components, hardware, fasteners, and HVAC accessories.

- Maintain bin locations, material coding, and labeling systems for easy identification and retrieval.

- Ensure proper implementation of FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.

Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP and physical stock registers.

- Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.

- Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification.

- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

- Track slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and damaged inventory.

Material Receipt & Issue

- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, invoices, and delivery challans.

- Coordinate with Quality Department for incoming material inspection and approval.

- Prepare and maintain GRN, material issue slips, return notes, and transfer records.

- Ensure timely material issuance to production as per approved requisitions.

Team Supervision

- Supervise Store Assistants, Helpers, and warehouse personnel.

- Assign daily tasks and monitor team productivity.

- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and store discipline.

- Train staff on inventory management, material handling, and documentation procedures.

Coordination & Reporting

- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Planning, Accounts, and Dispatch departments.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.

- Support audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation.

- Communicate material shortages and procurement requirements to management.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 5S practices.

- Maintain safe storage conditions for all materials.

- Follow company SOPs, ISO requirements, and inventory control procedures.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of HVAC materials and manufacturing processes.

- Expertise in inventory management and warehouse operations.

- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.

- Knowledge of GRN, stock reconciliation, material planning, and FIFO practices.

- Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Inventory accuracy percentage.

- Timely material availability for production.

- Stock discrepancy reduction.

- On-time GRN and material issuance.

- Effective control of obsolete and excess inventory.

- Compliance with safety and 5S standards.

- Store operational efficiency and documentation accuracy.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A highly organized and proactive store professional with experience in HVAC manufacturing, capable of managing inventory, supervising warehouse operations, ensuring material availability, and maintaining accurate documentation while supporting production and business objectives.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
