About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to own and drive key areas of the UrbanPro product across Web, Mobile Web and App.
You will work closely with engineering, design, analytics, operations and business teams to identify customer problems, define product solutions, prioritize opportunities and take products from problem discovery → definition → development → launch → measurement → iteration.
The ideal candidate is someone who is highly curious about users, comfortable with data, strong at execution and naturally entrepreneurial. You should enjoy identifying problems yourself rather than waiting for requirements to be handed to you.
This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and direct impact on UrbanPro's growth and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Discovery & Strategy:
- Understand student, parent and tutor needs through data, user research, customer feedback and market insights.
- Identify product opportunities that can meaningfully improve customer experience and business outcomes.
- Define product vision, strategy and roadmap for your areas of ownership.
- Translate ambiguous business and customer problems into clear product opportunities.
- Continuously identify opportunities to simplify and improve the user experience.
2. Product Execution:
- Own the complete product development lifecycle from problem definition to launch and iteration.
- Write clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with engineering, design and QA to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Make appropriate trade-offs between scope, quality, speed and business impact.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on customer impact, business value and engineering effort.
- Ensure successful adoption and rollout of new features.
3. Data & Experimentation:
- Use product and business data to identify opportunities and diagnose problems.
- Define appropriate product metrics and success criteria for initiatives.
- Design and run experiments and A/B tests where appropriate.
- Analyze experiment results and use learnings to make product decisions.
- Develop a strong understanding of the key drivers of acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion and retention.
4. Growth & Monetization:
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion and engagement across the student and tutor journeys.
- Work on initiatives that improve user retention, marketplace activity and customer lifetime value.
- Identify opportunities to improve monetization through product experience, pricing, upsell/cross-sell and new product offerings.
- Partner with business and operations teams to understand and solve marketplace problems.
5. Customer Experience:
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers and continuously advocate for their needs.
- Work with customer support and operations teams to identify recurring customer problems.
- Use customer feedback to identify product improvements and prioritize opportunities.
- Ensure that product decisions balance the needs of students, parents and tutors.
6. Stakeholder Management:
- Work effectively with engineering, design, analytics, business and leadership teams.
- Communicate product priorities, decisions, trade-offs and outcomes clearly.
- Build alignment across teams while maintaining strong ownership of product decisions.
- Present product performance and learnings to senior leadership.
What We're Looking ForMust Have:
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably building consumer-facing digital products.
- Proven experience owning products/features end-to-end, from discovery through launch and iteration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use data to identify problems, make decisions and measure outcomes.
- Strong understanding of product metrics, funnels and experimentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high bar for product quality.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and make trade-offs.
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience building consumer Internet products, marketplaces, mobile apps or high-traffic websites.
- Experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
- Technology/engineering background or strong technical understanding.
- Experience with A/B testing, analytics and experimentation.
- Experience working on products involving marketplaces, search/discovery, matching, conversion or monetization.
- Experience building products from scratch rather than only managing incremental improvements.

Education
