About the Role

Lean Life Cafe is looking for an experienced and responsible Chef who has a strong understanding of healthy, nutritious and protein-focused food preparation. The Chef will be responsible for preparing the dishes listed on the cafe menu while maintaining consistent taste, quality, hygiene, portion size, and nutritional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare all food and beverages as per the Lean Life Cafe menu, recipes and prescribed portion sizes.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, quantity and quality of every dish.
Prepare protein-rich and healthy meals including salads, bowls, wraps, sandwiches, rice bowls, burgers, pasta, shakes, smoothies and other menu items.
Follow proper cooking methods and maintain the nutritional requirements of healthy-diet meals.
Understand ingredients, portion sizes and basic nutritional information such as calories, protein, fibre and carbohydrates mentioned on the menu.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment, storage areas and food preparation stations.
Ensure proper food storage, ingredient handling and wastage control.
Check the quality and freshness of raw materials before preparation.
Maintain proper inventory of kitchen ingredients and inform management about shortages or requirements.
Follow standard recipes and ensure that food is prepared according to customer requirements wherever applicable.
Interact directly with customers when required and answer queries regarding ingredients, food quantity, portion size, preparation and diet-friendly options.
Handle customer-specific requests such as ingredient preferences or suitable substitutions, wherever operationally possible.
Ensure timely preparation and serving of orders, especially during peak hours.
Coordinate with cafe staff to ensure smooth order processing and customer service.
Maintain food quality and presentation throughout service.
Support management in introducing and improving healthy and protein-focused menu items.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a cafe, healthy food restaurant, diet cafe, fitness cafe or similar setup.
Good knowledge of healthy, low-oil and protein-rich food preparation.
Experience in preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
Knowledge of portion control and food presentation.
Ability to understand and follow standardized recipes.
Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Ability to confidently explain menu items, ingredients and quantities to customers.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours.
Responsible, disciplined and reliable approach to work.

Menu Expertise Required

The Chef will be expected to prepare and maintain quality standards across the complete Lean Life Cafe menu, including Healthy Salads, Protein Bowls, Healthy Sandwiches, Healthy Wraps, Brown Rice Bowls, Healthy Subs, Healthy Burgers, Fresh Juices & Drinks, Healthy Shakes, Healthy Pasta, Protein Smoothies, Fruit Salads, Healthy Brownies, Fruit Custard & Cream, Protein Cold Coffee and Refreshing Drinks.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Chef who is passionate about healthy food, understands portion-controlled cooking, maintains high hygiene standards and can confidently interact with customers regarding food quantity, ingredients, and diet-friendly menu options.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
