JOB DESCRIPTION – OPERATIONS MANAGER
Project ZeeLead – Student Tuition & EdTech Operations

Job Summary

The Operations Manager – Project ZeeLead will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the student tuition program, ensuring smooth delivery of academic services, effective coordination between students, tutors, parents, and internal teams, and achievement of academic and operational goals.

The role involves managing tuition operations across branches/centres, monitoring student enrolment and attendance, coordinating faculty and academic activities, ensuring quality of education, handling escalations, analysing operational performance, and continuously improving processes to enhance student learning outcomes and parent satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Project ZeeLead across all tuition centres/branches.
Monitor student enrolment, attendance, class schedules, batches, and academic activities.
Coordinate with Academic, Faculty, Student Care, Marketing, HR, Accounts, and Administration teams.
Ensure smooth execution of tuition classes and academic programs.
Monitor tutor/faculty performance, availability, attendance, and productivity.
Develop and implement SOPs, operational processes, and quality standards for the tuition program.
Monitor branch/centre-wise performance and achievement of operational and academic KPIs.
Conduct regular reviews of student attendance, academic progress, faculty performance, and centre performance.
Ensure proper communication and coordination with students and parents.
Handle student and parent complaints, escalations, and operational issues.
Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor student retention, dropout rates, feedback, and overall satisfaction.
Ensure timely collection and maintenance of student-related records and documentation.
Analyse operational data and prepare MIS reports and dashboards for management.
Monitor revenue, fee collection, pending fees, and coordination with the Accounts team.
Ensure proper utilization of classrooms, faculty, learning resources, and other operational resources.
Coordinate examinations, assessments, special classes, workshops, and academic events.
Ensure compliance with company policies, academic standards, and operational procedures.
Conduct regular centre/branch visits to monitor operations and resolve issues.
Support management in expansion of Project ZeeLead to new locations and centres.
Identify opportunities to improve student experience, academic delivery, and operational efficiency.
Provide regular operational reports and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

Master's Degree preferred; MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Operations Management, Education, EdTech, Training, or a similar leadership role.
Experience in managing student/academic operations will be an added advantage.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
Ability to manage multiple centres, teams, and operational activities simultaneously.
Strong coordination and decision-making skills.
Willingness to travel to centres/branches as required.

Preferred Skills

Experience in EdTech, tuition, education, training, or academic operations.
Knowledge of student management and academic operations.
Experience in managing tutors/faculty teams.
Knowledge of SOP development and process improvement.
Strong student and parent relationship management skills.
Experience in MIS reporting and data analysis.
Strong conflict-resolution and escalation-management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Result-oriented approach with a strong focus on student success and operational excellence.
