Full job description

Job Summary:

The Accounts and Finance Assistant Manager will own day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, documentation, and basic financial reporting for Vera Vita Living LLP, in close coordination with the Founder/Director. This role maintains clean, audit-ready accounting records across project construction costs, vendor and contractor payments, customer/unit-buyer receivables, and statutory filings, while supporting RERA-related financial compliance across the firm's projects. This is an execution-focused, detail-oriented role that requires accuracy, discipline, and proactive follow-up across vendors, contractors, banks, and internal teams, so that project level and entity-level financials remain reliable at all times.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Record day-to-day accounting transactions accurately in Tally / the accounting system in use.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and supporting schedules for construction costs, vendor bills, and project expenses.
Track project-wise cost capitalisation and assist in preparing entity-level financial statements.
Perform bank reconciliations, including reconciliation of the RERA-designated project account and its withdrawal certifications.
Reconcile contractor and vendor running bills against work orders, measurement sheets, and purchase orders.
Reconcile customer/unit-buyer ledgers against sale agreements, demand letters, and payment schedules.
Track advances, security deposits, retention money, and outstanding payables/receivables.
Identify and correct mismatches, discrepancies, and unposted items across books.
Maintain proper records of vendor/contractor invoices, sale agreements, NDAs, and other supporting documents.
Ensure all documentation is filed systematically (digital and physical) and easily retrievable.
Support digitisation of construction, sales, and accounting records.
Assist in maintaining documentation required for statutory and bank audits, and for RERA compliance.
Prepare basic workings related to TDS, GST (including back-calculation on contractor bills), PF/ESI, and other statutory requirements.
Support quarterly/annual RERA financial filings and maintain the records they depend on.
Coordinate with the Founder/Director, CA, or external consultants wherever compliance inputs are needed.
Ensure accounting entries correctly reflect statutory impacts (TDS deduction, GST input/output, etc.)
Assist in resolving statutory, internal, and bank audit queries by providing data and explanations.
Work with the Founder/Director to ensure books and project accounts remain audit ready at all times.
Coordinate with Construction, Sales & Marketing, and Legal teams for accounting and documentation inputs.
Follow up with vendors, contractors, customers, banks, and internal stakeholders for documents and clarifications.
Step in wherever basic accounting, MIS, or documentation support is required across Vera Vita Living LLP.

Required Education & Experience :

B.Com / M.Com required.
Additional certifications in accounting (Tally, Excel, GST, etc.) preferred
5–7 years in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
Experience in real estate / construction accounting, or in multi-entity environments, is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
Good command of Excel / Google Sheets.
Hands-on experience with Tally Prime or similar accounting software.
Ability to maintain accurate records, schedules, and reconciliations under minimal supervision.
Proficiency in technology, with the ability to work with new software or AI tools, will be an advantage.
