Full job description

Arena Animation Hubli is seeking a dynamic and passionate Center Academic Head to lead academic delivery, faculty coordination, and student learning outcomes at the center. The ideal candidate will be a multi-disciplinary generalist with strong expertise in 3D animation tools along with working knowledge of graphic design and post-production workflows.

The role requires an academically driven professional who can mentor students, guide faculty, maintain academic quality standards, and stay aligned with evolving AVGC (Animation, VFX, Gaming & Comics) industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the academic operations of the center to ensure high-quality training delivery.
Teach and mentor students in 3D animation and related digital media software.
Plan, monitor, and execute academic schedules, batches, and curriculum delivery.
Supervise faculty performance and support continuous improvement in teaching methodologies.
Ensure students achieve strong practical outcomes through projects, portfolios, and assessments.
Maintain academic discipline, attendance, and performance tracking.
Conduct workshops, demo sessions, portfolio reviews, and academic counseling when required.
Stay updated with latest industry tools, workflows, and trends in Animation, Gaming, and Digital Media.
Coordinate with management for academic planning, student progress, and quality assurance.
Motivate and inspire students towards career readiness and creative excellence.

Required Technical Skills

Strong working knowledge of:
Autodesk Maya
Unreal Engine
Blender
Good understanding of:
Graphic Design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Video Editing & Post-Production tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent)
Understanding of 3D production pipeline, animation workflows, and real-time content creation.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience in relevant animation or digital media software.
Prior experience in an animation institute or training environment preferred.
Graduate/Diploma in Animation, Multimedia, Design, or related field preferred.

Communication & Personal Skills

Excellent teaching and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills in English (mandatory).
Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi and Kannada.
Motivational personality with strong mentoring abilities.
Leadership mindset with team coordination skills.
Passion for learning and adapting to emerging technologies and industry practices.
