Job Title: Seasonal Office Assistant
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for excellent customer service and efficient scale operation. In addition, this position will serve
customers and performing other administrative responsibilities to ensure teamwork and efficient operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
Serves customers by providing excellent customer service; responding promptly and courteously to customer needs and
questions; and meeting commitments;

Promotes teamwork; manages difficult or emotional situations; and professionally and successfully communicates with all
departments;

Responsible for timely and accurate customer service and operations functions including weighing trucks, testing grain
samples, setting up new accounts in the computer, and retention of records;

Supports office associates with administrative responsibilities as needed;

Demonstrates professional communication, flexibility, versatility, and organizational skills;

Effectively and professionally communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees, and management;

Maintains and promotes safety awareness, and follows safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements;

Performs housekeeping functions and maintains an organized and clean work environment;

Presents a clean and professional appearance;

Performs all other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education,
seminars, classes or other job-related education requirements or opportunities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient computer operation skills including knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages and to apply concepts
such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems with
several concrete variables in standard situations. Must be able to think quickly and perform a mental assessment of
workplace hazards, take appropriate precautions, and choose appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as dictated
by need, regulation, and labeling.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, read, feel, talk and/or
hear. The employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and
arms; and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or smell. The employee must regularly
lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to fumes or
