About the role
Define and execute the product engineering strategy, aligning with overall business objectives and market needs.
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
Manage and mentor a diverse team of software engineers and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Develop and manage the product engineering budget, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Lead change management initiatives within the engineering organization, effectively communicating changes and ensuring smooth transitions.
Drive group problem-solving efforts, leveraging diverse perspectives to overcome technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
Influence stakeholders across various departments, including product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
Inspire and motivate the engineering team, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional growth.
Negotiate with vendors and partners to secure resources, technologies, and services essential for product development.
Ensure efficient project delivery, utilizing methodologies such as the Waterfall Model where appropriate, and consistently meeting project milestones and deliverables.
Oversee the continuous improvement of software development processes and practices.
About You
18+ years of overall experience and atleast 12 years of leadership experience
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within product engineering or software development.
Extensive experience with Budget Management and financial oversight for engineering departments.
Demonstrated expertise in Change Management within a dynamic technological environment.
Exceptional Communication, Influencing, and Negotiation skills.
Strong ability in Group Problem Solving and leading teams to successful resolutions.
A track record of being Inspirational, motivating, and developing high-performing teams.
Expertise in People Management, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Demonstrated success in Project Delivery, consistently bringing products to market on time and within budget.
Deep understanding of Software Development principles and practices.
Extensive experience in Software Engineering, including architecture, design, and implementation.
Familiarity with various project management methodologies, including the Waterfall Model.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
