Full job description

QRight Solutions is looking for Sr System Administrator / Sr IT Service Desk Engineer profiles for a US based client at Chennai (only IMMEDIATE JOINERS)

Education : any IT related degree with ITIL certification

Experience : 15+ years of IT systems exp

Pay : 30 – 35 LPA

Location : Chennai (US shift)

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise, coach, and develop Desktop Support Analysts and additional Service Desk/NOC staff, including team members based in India.
Set daily priorities for the team, balance workload across the queue, and provide hands-on technical guidance on escalated or complex issues.
Support onboarding, training, and performance feedback for support staff as the Service Desk and NOC team grows.
Manage and continuously improve the service desk ticket queue, ensuring tickets are triaged, assigned, and resolved within SLA targets.
Coordinate closely with onsite field teams to align on incident handling, project work, and client priorities across locations and time zones.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Provide onsite IT support to local offices in Chennai, in addition to remote support for other locations.
Diagnose, document, and resolve IT hardware and software issues within allocated timelines, and serve as an escalation point for issues Desktop Support Analysts are unable to resolve.
Configure, administer, and optimize ConnectWise (or an equivalent PSA platform) for ticketing, workflows, reporting, and service desk queue management.
Liaise with 3rd party providers and vendors for resolution of customer incidents.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, communicating proactively and professionally on the status of their IT requests, incidents, and projects.
Create user accounts and manage access controls within Microsoft 365.
Oversee the staging, configuration, and deployment of computer systems, tablets, phones, and peripherals.
Listen to, understand, and interpret customer requirements to propose solutions that enable the business to be more efficient.
Present to and educate customers on IT digital solutions, processes, and tools to increase their efficiency.
Create and maintain documentation for customers and IT support processes within Kaseya IT Glue, including team procedures and knowledge base articles.
Assist in infrastructure setup and projects, including network devices, physical security systems, modern meeting rooms, and other emerging technologies.
Manage small- to mid-scale IT systems deployment projects, including coordinating assignments across the team.
Maintain the security of IT systems per company guidelines and industry best practices.
Comply with company and customer safety and PPE requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline, or a minimum of 15+ years of equivalent experience in IT systems, including experience mentoring or leading technical staff.
CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications preferred; ITIL Foundation a plus.
Prior experience supervising, leading, or mentoring a technical support team strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience configuring and working within ConnectWise or a comparable PSA platform required.
Experience with Kaseya IT Glue or a comparable IT documentation platform preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, mobile devices, software, networks, and modern operating systems.
Experience installing, configuring, and administering the Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and user/access management.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into clear, client-friendly communication.
Outstanding verbal and written communication and customer service skills; comfortable serving as a daily point of contact for clients.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while directing the work of others.
Experience coordinating with or managing distributed/remote team members across locations or time zones is a plus.
Willing to learn new technologies, stay current with industry trends, and pursue additional technical certifications.

Pay: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
