We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Political Affairs & Civics Researcher who can support our editorial team with in-depth research, fact-checking, analysis, and content development.

Position Overview

We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of Indian politics, governance, civics, constitutional frameworks, public administration, and current affairs. The ideal candidate should be capable of simplifying complex political and civic issues into engaging, accurate, and audience-friendly content for digital platforms, news stories, video scripts, and social media.

Key Responsibilities

Political Research & Analysis

Track daily political developments at national, state, and local levels.

Research government policies, legislative developments, elections, and public administration topics.

Monitor Parliament sessions, political debates, government announcements, and policy decisions.

Provide background research and contextual analysis for news stories.

Civics & Governance Content

Create informative content explaining constitutional provisions, governance structures, public institutions, and civic rights.

Develop educational content on topics such as:

Indian Constitution

Fundamental Rights & Duties

Parliament and State Legislatures

Judiciary and Electoral Processes

Government Schemes and Public Policies

Local Governance and Civic Administration

Fact-Checking & Verification

Verify political statements, claims, data, and policy-related information.

Conduct thorough fact-checking using credible sources and government publications.

Ensure editorial accuracy and compliance with journalistic standards.

Script & Content Development

Assist in writing:

News articles

Political explainers

Election coverage content

Video and AI-anchor scripts

Opinion-neutral current affairs summaries

Social media content

Editorial Support

Identify emerging political stories and trends.

Prepare briefing notes for anchors and editorial teams.

Coordinate with reporters, content creators, and video production teams.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

Political Science

Public Administration

Journalism & Mass Communication

International Relations

Law

Sociology

Public Policy

Related fields

Experience

1–3 years of experience in political journalism, research, policy analysis, media, think tanks, or content creation.

Freshers with exceptional political and civic knowledge may also apply.

Excellent analytical and research capabilities.

Familiarity with digital news platforms and social media.

Knowledge of Google Workspace/MS Office.

Experience with content management systems is an advantage.
