Full job description

Job Overview

We are hiring a Customs & Import Operations Executive who has cleared the Customs Broker (CHA) examination (written + oral) and has practical experience handling shipments.

This role is focused on building strong internal control over import/export operations, working alongside external customs brokers and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

Manage import shipments end-to-end:
Documentation
Coordination
Clearance follow-ups
Work closely with:
Customs Brokers
Freight forwarders
Courier companies (DHL, FedEx, etc.)
Prepare and verify:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
Bill of Entry (BOE)
Shipping Bills (for exports)
Ensure:
Correct HS classification
Accurate duty calculation
Timely clearance
Handle shipment delays, customs queries, and documentation issues
Visit cargo terminals / ICD when required

Technical Skills Required

Practical understanding of:
ICEGATE portal
BOE lifecycle
Export Shipping Bill process
Working knowledge of:
Duty structure (BCD, IGST)
HS Code classification
Import/export documentation

What We Are Looking For

Someone who has worked inside a CHA / customs environment
Can handle real-world clearance situations
Comfortable dealing with:
Customs officials
Ground operations
Can operate independently and push work forward
