Job Summary:

The Dance Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting dance classes for students in alignment with CBSE guidelines and the school’s co-scholastic framework. The teacher should be proficient in various dance forms and capable of nurturing students’ artistic talents while promoting cultural awareness, discipline, and confidence through dance education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver structured dance lessons to students across different classes as per the CBSE curriculum.
Teach and train students in diverse dance forms, including Indian classical, folk, contemporary, and western styles.
Prepare and choreograph performances for school events, assemblies, annual functions, and inter-school competitions.
Encourage participation in CBSE and other cultural competitions at zonal, state, and national levels.
Collaborate with the music and art departments for integrated cultural programs.
Evaluate and record students’ progress, participation, and performance in dance activities.
Maintain discipline and ensure safety during practice sessions and rehearsals.
Instill a sense of appreciation for performing arts and promote teamwork among students.
Assist in organizing workshops, cultural events, and dance appreciation sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Performing Arts (Dance) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Diploma or certification in Indian classical, folk, or western dance forms (preferred).
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school.
