ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an ambitious, highly driven Project Sales Manager who can identify opportunities, develop relationships, create a strong project pipeline and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
This is a target-oriented, field-focused sales role for a genuine go-getter. The successful candidate must be capable of independently handling the complete sales cycle—from identifying a project and connecting with decision-makers to preparing proposals, negotiating commercials, securing the purchase order and supporting payment collection.
This is not a desk-only sales position. The role requires regular client meetings, site visits, project tracking, persistent follow-ups and ownership of results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify upcoming hospitality, residential, commercial, landscape, façade, infrastructure and public-sector projects.
- Generate new business opportunities through architects, lighting designers, MEP consultants, PMCs, developers, contractors, electrical consultants and project owners.
- Build and maintain a strong network of project decision-makers and influencers.
- Map each project’s stakeholders, including the client, architect, consultant, contractor, procurement team and approving authority.
- Arrange client meetings, product presentations, technical discussions, site visits and mock-ups.
- Understand project drawings, specifications, BOQs, product schedules and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with Plevid’s design, technical, estimation, procurement and management teams to prepare suitable lighting proposals.
- Prepare quotations, techno-commercial offers, compliance statements and product submissions.
- Follow up consistently from initial enquiry through technical approval, commercial negotiation and purchase order.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery requirements while protecting company margins.
- Maintain an accurate project pipeline with values, stages, decision-makers, next actions and expected closure dates.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and collection targets.
- Track competitors, alternative specifications and changing project requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships after order confirmation and support smooth coordination between the client and execution teams.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, meeting reports and project-conversion updates to management.
- Travel within Guwahati, Assam and the wider North East region as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–3 years of experience in project sales, specification sales or B2B sales.
- Experience in architectural lighting, electrical products, building materials, automation, furniture, sanitaryware, façades, elevators, HVAC or a related project-based industry is preferred.
- Proven ability to generate leads and personally close project-based deals.
- Existing relationships with architects, consultants, developers, contractors or institutional clients will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Commercially sharp, target-driven and comfortable handling negotiations.
- Ability to understand technical products, drawings, BOQs and project specifications.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, quotations and CRM or sales-pipeline reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Business, Marketing or a related discipline is preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly for meetings and site visits.
- A valid driving licence and personal vehicle would be an advantage.
