Job Description – Social Media Marketer

Designation: Social Media Marketer
Industry: Hotel / Hospitality
Reporting To: Marketing Manager / Director of Sales & Marketing
Location: Hotel Property, Sec-41, Faridabad
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

To develop and execute the hotel's social media and digital marketing activities to increase brand awareness, hotel bookings, engagement, event promotions, and overall online visibility across relevant digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management

Manage the hotel's official social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.
Create and publish engaging posts, reels, stories, videos and promotional content.
Ensure all content reflects the hotel's brand standards, tone and image.
Respond to comments, messages, reviews and customer enquiries professionally and promptly.

2. Content Creation

Create attractive content showcasing rooms, restaurants, facilities, events, offers and guest experiences.
Write creative captions, hashtags and promotional copy.
Develop content around festivals, special occasions, food promotions, weddings, conferences and hotel events.

3. Marketing & Promotions

Plan and execute social media campaigns for room bookings, restaurants, banquets, weddings, corporate events and seasonal offers.
Promote hotel packages, F&B offers, staycation packages and special events.
Coordinate with the Sales, F&B, Front Office and Banquets teams to collect information for promotions.
Support paid social media campaigns and coordinate with digital marketing agencies, where applicable.

4. Influencer & Online Promotion

Identify suitable travel, lifestyle, food and hospitality influencers.
Coordinate influencer collaborations and hotel visits.
Maintain records of influencer campaigns and evaluate their performance.
Explore partnerships with local businesses, bloggers and online travel communities.

5. Online Reputation Management

Monitor the hotel's online reputation across social media, Google and other relevant platforms.
Track guest feedback, comments and reviews.
Coordinate with concerned departments to address negative feedback professionally.
Highlight positive guest experiences and testimonials.

6. Analytics & Reporting

Monitor social media performance, reach, engagement, followers, leads and conversions.
Prepare weekly/monthly social media performance reports.
Analyse campaign performance and recommend improvements.
Track competitor activities and current hospitality/social media trends.

7. Coordination

Work closely with the Sales & Marketing, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping and Banquet teams.
Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and external agencies.
Ensure timely promotion of hotel events, offers and business activities.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing.
Good content writing and communication skills.
Creativity and strong visual sense.
Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop or similar designing tools is preferred.
Basic knowledge of Meta Business Suite and social media advertising.
Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
Photography/video editing skills will be an advantage.
Good understanding of hospitality and customer service.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Mass Communication, Hospitality Management or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in social media/digital marketing, preferably in the hotel, hospitality, restaurant, travel or lifestyle industry.
Freshers with strong social media knowledge and relevant portfolios may also be considered.

Reach and impressions of hotel content.
Leads and bookings generated through social media.
Performance of promotional campaigns.
Online reviews and brand reputation.
Engagement and conversion from reels, stories and campaigns.
