Full job description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SEO Executive (On-Page & Off-Page) to join our digital marketing team in Shimla.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of SEO fundamentals, keyword research, on-page optimization, off-page SEO, link building, technical SEO, and performance analysis.

You will work on SEO campaigns for international clients across different industries, helping improve organic search visibility, keyword rankings, website traffic, and overall search performance.

Freshers with relevant SEO training, internships, certifications, or practical project experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Perform keyword research to identify relevant and high-value search opportunities.
Conduct on-page SEO optimization for website pages, including:
Title tags
Meta descriptions
Heading structure
URL optimization
Internal linking
Image optimization
Content optimization
Perform off-page SEO and link-building activities to improve website authority and rankings.
Research and identify relevant websites and opportunities for quality link building.
Assist with guest posting, business listings, profile creation, content promotion, and other off-page activities.
Conduct basic technical SEO audits and identify issues affecting crawling, indexing, website performance, and search visibility.
Monitor website performance through Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, impressions, clicks, and other important SEO metrics.
Identify indexing, crawling, broken-link, redirect, and other SEO-related issues.
Optimize website content based on keyword research, search intent, and SEO best practices.
Perform competitor analysis to identify keyword, content, backlink, and optimization opportunities.
Assist with Local SEO activities, including Google Business Profile optimization, citations, and local listings.
Support internal linking strategies to improve website navigation and SEO performance.
Monitor backlinks and identify potentially harmful or low-quality links.
Prepare regular SEO reports highlighting completed activities, performance, improvements, and areas requiring attention.
Stay updated with Google algorithm updates, SEO trends, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with content writers, developers, and digital marketing team members to implement SEO recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience

Freshers with SEO training/internship experience and candidates with 1–2 years of SEO experience are welcome to apply.
Good understanding of SEO fundamentals and search engine optimization practices.
Knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO.
Understanding of keyword research and search intent.
Basic knowledge of technical SEO.
Understanding of link-building techniques and SEO outreach.
Basic knowledge of Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization.
Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Basic knowledge of HTML and website structure.
Good understanding of content optimization and internal linking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to analyze SEO data and identify optimization opportunities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn new SEO tools, techniques, and strategies.

Candidates are not expected to have experience with every tool. A strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and willingness to learn are more important.

Good to Have

SEO internship or practical SEO project experience.
Experience working on WordPress or other CMS platforms.
Knowledge of international SEO and different search markets.
Basic understanding of Core Web Vitals and website performance.
Familiarity with structured data/schema markup.
Experience with competitor and backlink analysis.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience creating SEO reports using Google Sheets or Looker Studio.
SEO certification from a recognized platform.
Personal website, academic project, internship project, or portfolio demonstrating SEO work.
