Job Description:

The Director leads multi-functional research operations and is responsible for delivering strategic transformation across publishing, quality, and team capability at Norstella. This role shapes research strategy, drives change management, and ensures that scalable, high-integrity systems support the company’s mission. The Director also serves as a key interface between product, technology, operations, and client-facing functions.

Responsibilities:

Define and drive research strategy across therapeutic areas and regulatory domains, leading competitive analysis, MoA trends, and data-driven innovation initiatives
Spearhead process modernization through automation, new feature development, and scalable SOP and QA frameworks that set industry standards
Change leader who can navigate complex processes through AI automation and human in the loop decisions and frameworks
Lead post AI data validation teams and institute and execute on processes to improve AI models through feedback
Oversee performance reporting, KPI tracking, and project risk management with a focus on translating insights into action for functional and enterprise-wide priorities
Lead large teams and managers, fostering leadership development, implementing performance management structures, and driving capability expansion across geographies
Own cross-functional stakeholder relationships and client engagements, leading escalations and translating complex client needs into strategic product-aligned solutions
Champion data integrity, ethical publishing standards, and continuous improvement in collaboration with technology, product, and operational stakeholders
Identify structural gaps, propose organization-wide solutions, and execute scalable improvements that support Norstella’s long-term research and delivery strategy

Requirements:

Graduate/Post-Graduate/Doctorate degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or related discipline/experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in pharma research, clinical intelligence, or healthcare analytics, with 4+ years in people and operations leadership roles
5 years+ working with AI models, and implementing solutions in content processes.
Deep understanding of regulatory pathways, MoAs, and global therapeutic market trends
Strong experience with QA frameworks, automation initiatives, and system-based publishing workflows
Experience in using research tools and databases (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov, EMA, FDA, SEC filings)
