Full job description

Job Title: Document Controller – Green Building Certification

Location: Bangalore, India

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Document Controller, Architect, or in Building Studies

Role Purpose

Green building certifications require a massive, highly structured trail of evidence, documentation, drawings, and technical credits. We are seeking a meticulous and hard-working professional to own the entire documentation from collecting information and verifying / assessing data till completion.

Leveraging your background in architecture or building studies, you will understand the technical content of architectural drawings / documentation required and material submittals to ensure our green certification projects are seamless, compliant, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Certification Portal & Evidence Management

 Document Quality Control: Review incoming technical submittals, material test certificates, Environmental

Product Declarations (EPDs), and waste management logs for completeness before submission.

 Version Control: Maintain a rigorous, foolproof filing system for all architectural drawings (AutoCAD/Revit outputs), MEP schedules, and commissioning reports related to sustainability credits.

2. Technical Coordination

 Design Team Liaison: Work closely with consultant and contractors team to chase down missing documentation and clarify data discrepancies.

 Audit Readiness: Keep all project folders "audit-ready" for third-party green building reviewers, ensuring clear traceability of data from the site to the final report.

3. Reporting, Tracking Presentation

 Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed Excel trackers as action list to monitor the status of every credit, highlighting bottlenecks or missing documentation to leadership.

 Report Writing: Assist the sustainability team in drafting clear, formal technical narratives and summaries required by certification bodies.

 Internal Presentations: Present document status updates clearly to project teams and stakeholders during coordination meetings.

Requirements Qualifications

Experience Education

 Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience working as a Document Controller, Junior Architect, or a technical role within Building Studies/Construction Management.

 Education: Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or a closely related field. Able to read all building engineering drawings

Technical Skills & Competencies

 Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, Revit layouts, and technical material specs easily.

 Software Proficiency: Excellent command of MS Office (Advanced Excel for tracking is a major plus) and document management systems. Familiarity with green building portals is highly advantageous but not mandatory if you are a fast learner.

Soft Skills (Core Traits)

 Meticulous & Detail-Oriented: A single missing signature or wrong unit can affect quality of audit submission.

You must have an exceptional eye for detail. Structured and neat in documentation processing

 Hard-working & Dependable: A strong work ethic with the ability to manage high-volume paperwork across multiple active projects simultaneously.

 Communication Skills: Strong written English for professional report drafting and confident presentation skills to handle interdisciplinary project meetings.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
