About the Role

Gokulam Grand Trivandrum is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to the operation, maintenance, and management of engineering systems within a luxury five-star hotel environment. The selected candidate will work closely with experienced engineering professionals and gain practical knowledge of hospitality facility management.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Engineering team in the maintenance and operation of hotel facilities and equipment.
Support preventive maintenance activities for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and utility systems.
Participate in daily engineering inspections and maintenance rounds.
Assist in monitoring energy consumption and sustainability initiatives.
Help maintain engineering logs, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
Support troubleshooting activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, fire and life safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Assist in coordinating contractor and vendor activities when required.
Participate in engineering projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and guest comfort.
Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Eligibility Criteria

Recently completed a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Engineering qualification in:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
Civil Engineering
Facility Management or related disciplines
Basic understanding of building systems and maintenance practices.
Strong willingness to learn and work in a hospitality environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team-oriented and service-focused environment.
