Full job description

Role Overview: UAV Trainer (Drone & Aerospace Education)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled UAV Trainer to join our Customer Success / Training team. The trainer will be responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on Drone (UAV) training sessions for students in our partner schools and institutions.

This role involves regular travel to training locations as per the scheduled programs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct hands-on UAV / Drone training sessions for school and college students.

Explain the fundamentals of drones, including aerodynamics, propulsion, flight control systems, and safety.

Demonstrate and train students on Pixhawk flight controllers, Mission Planner, and basic UAV configurations.

Teach basic drone assembly, calibration, pre-flight checks, and post-flight procedures.

Introduce students to ground control software, waypoint missions, and basic autonomous flight concepts.

Assist students in understanding problem-solving, system integration, and troubleshooting related to UAVs.

Maintain, assemble, and troubleshoot drones, batteries, sensors, and ground control equipment.

Ensure safe drone operations and adherence to training safety guidelines.

Travel to assigned schools and training locations as per the training schedule (within and outside the city, if required).

Collaborate with the Content and Curriculum team to improve UAV training modules.

Provide training reports and feedback on student engagement, learning outcomes, and session performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in:

Mechanical Engineering

Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering

Robotics

Mechatronics

Computer Science or related disciplines

Strong knowledge of UAV systems and drone technology.

Hands-on experience with:

Pixhawk flight controllers

Mission Planner (or similar GCS software)

Basic understanding of:

Sensors, ESCs, motors, and power systems

UAV electronics and wiring

Flight modes and calibration

Passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.

Willingness to travel frequently for training sessions.

Prior training or teaching experience is an added advantage.
