RESPONSIBILITIES
- Corporate Strategy Shaping
Participate in the development of corporate strategy for a local organization, applying functional expertise to test the viability of the strategy and contributing creative ideas and insights to support the strategy formation process.
- Functional Strategy Formation
Lead the development and implementation of strategy for a business area or significant function, anticipating mega-trends and complex challenges and opportunities, and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
- Strategy Formation and Implementation
Develop the strategy for a business area of significant function, anticipating mega-trends and complex challenges and opportunities. Ensure the strategy is successfully implemented and meets long-term business needs.
Lead the development of annual and longer-term business plans for a significant function or small local business, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) and resource budgets (financial and headcount); and ensure integration of key activities or projects across the organization.
Hold overall responsibility for designing, developing and delivering the organization's sales strategy.
Develop and improve relationships with Board members, identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges and preparing them for discussion. Work is focused on a significant function or equivalent area of the business.
Set and communicate the strategy for achieving the organization's mission, vision and values within a function, together with the broad actions needed to implement it; inspire a large or diverse workforce to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
Hold overall responsibility for the design, development, and delivery of the organization's business development strategy to create long-term value for the organization and for customers, markets, and relationships.
Represent the organization or institution in a variety of industry, institutional, and/or professional forums, boards, and committees in order to promote the company or institution brand or efforts. Represent the organization in external relations with investors, clients, the public, and others. Will focus on a significant function, department, or equivalent area of the business.
Manage and report on the performance of the function / business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
Define the detailed organization structure for a business area to align with corporate principles, define the relationship between elements of the organization, and define the responsibilities of senior managers, to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives.

Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant business area. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Education
Master's Degree or Equivalent Level
General Experience
Experience level enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges (More than 15 years)
Managerial Experience
Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames (Over 10 years to 15 years)
