Full job description

Job Brief: Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant
Reports to: Accounts Manager / Finance Head
Experience Required: 5–7 years (manufacturing/trading industry preferred)

Role Summary
Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations including billing, sales/purchase entries, expense booking, and preparation of purchase/sales orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial records. Should be well-versed in Tally, Excel, and other relevant accounting/ERP software.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Invoicing
Prepare sales invoices, purchase bills, and credit/debit notes
Ensure correct tax application (GST) on all bills
Maintain proper billing records and follow-up for pending invoices
Sales & Purchase Entries
Record day-to-day sales and purchase transactions in Tally
Reconcile purchase/sales registers with physical documents
Maintain vendor and customer ledgers accurately
Purchase Order (P.O.) & Sales Order (S.O.)
Prepare and issue P.O.s based on approved requirements
Generate S.O.s as per confirmed customer orders
Track order status and coordinate with stores/logistics for fulfillment
Expense Management
Record and monitor day-to-day expense entries
Verify supporting bills/vouchers before booking
Prepare expense summaries/reports as required
Accounts Finalization Support
Assist in monthly/quarterly closing of books
Support preparation of bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
Assist in GST returns, TDS entries, and other statutory compliance data
MIS & Reporting
Prepare periodic reports (sales, purchase, expense, outstanding) in Excel
Support management with data for decision-making
Maintain accurate and updated financial records for audits
Software & Systems
Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
Familiarity with other accounting/ERP tools as used by the company
Basic knowledge of GST portal, e-way bill, and e-invoicing systems
General
Coordinate with internal departments (sales, purchase, logistics) for accurate data flow
Ensure timely and error-free entries to support smooth financial operations
Handle any other accounting-related tasks as assigned

Skills Required

5–7 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong command over Tally, Excel, and GST compliance
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial entries
Good coordination and communication skills

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
