Job Summary
We are seeking for a Technical Support & Integration Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of third-party enterprise logistics and shipping platforms. This role involves working with web applications, APIs, databases, and server environments to help ensure smooth carrier integrations and reliable day-to-day system operations for client environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of logistics/shipping applications across development, staging, and production environments.
- Support application setup and basic server configuration on Windows/Linux systems
- Work with databases for routine activities such as backups, restores, and troubleshooting
- Configure and support carrier integrations, shipping services, rates, and workflows within the platform
- Perform functional and end-to-end testing after deployments, upgrades, or integration changes
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues related to APIs, carrier connectivity, rates, labels, and order flow
- Provide production support and ensure high system availability
- Work with client teams to gather integration requirements and resolve technical issues
- Handle and track issues using ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, or similar tools)
- Maintain technical documentation for setup, deployment, and support processes
- Collaborate with development and support teams during releases and issue resolution
Required Skills
- Experience with web application deployment and server setup
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and API authentication mechanisms
- Good knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) including queries and basic optimization
- Experience with database backup, restore, and migration processes
- Familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux environments
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, SSL certificates, ports, firewall rules)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze logs
- Experience in application testing and issue resolution
- Good communication and client-handling skills
Preferred Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in technical support, implementation, deployment, or integration roles
- Experience with logistics, shipping, eCommerce, or similar business platforms
- Familiarity with third-party enterprise integrations and APIs (e.g., carrier/shipping APIs, Magento, Odoo, ERP/WMS platforms, etc.)
- Knowledge of JavaScript, backend technologies, or scripting
- Exposure to cloud platforms and web server environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, IIS, Apache, Nginx)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/PowerShell) for automation
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Work Timing
- Flexibility to work in Australian business hours or provide overlap support when required
