R&D Formulation Scientist

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹60,000 – ₹70,000 per month

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and innovative R&D Formulation Scientists to join a growing Personal Care team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about product development, formulation science, and creating high-quality personal care products.

The selected candidates will be involved in end-to-end formulation development, testing, scale-up activities, and collaboration across departments to bring new products from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, improve, and optimize personal care product formulations.
Perform laboratory batch preparation, testing, and product evaluation.
Conduct stability studies and maintain formulation documentation.
Support pilot-scale production trials and scale-up processes.
Lead and contribute to New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
Work closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Operations teams.
Coordinate with clients to understand formulation requirements and project expectations.
Troubleshoot formulation and process-related challenges.
Ensure compliance with product quality and development standards.
Maintain accurate records of formulations, trials, and development activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry (B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry) OR
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm) OR
Chemical Engineering background preferred.
2–3 years of experience in Personal Care, Cosmetics, FMCG, or related R&D formulation roles.

Preferred Skills

Strong knowledge of personal care formulation and product development.
Understanding of formulation processes, testing, and stability protocols.
Experience with pilot trials and commercialization support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple development projects.
