What You'll Do

As an IT HR Workday Configuration Engineer in BCG’s IT HR Systems Group you will have the responsibility for functional & technical updates to Workday, BCG's global HR application, with a concentration in ATime Off. We are kicking off a multi-phased global implementation, and this is a key role for the implementation. You will need to partner with our implementation vendor to successfully implement Time Off to approximately 25 countries, and then will be part of the implementation for phases 2 and 3. You will work with the Lead Time Off BA on the team, as well as the functional team to advocate and support end user requirements and prepare and demonstrate functionality for the leadership team. Additionally, you will provide ongoing support on Workday ranging from enhancement requests, day to day operational activities, as well as keep key team members aware of new functionality and enhancements.

What You'll Bring

Experience in supporting technical needs for the HR domain and specifically, experience in Workday is required
Ability to participate in design and configuration workshops for implementation projects as well as enhancement projects
Create clear and comprehensive change documents for application modifications and new functionality additions, for Workday
Analyze and implement application configurations
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure high quality prior to deployment
Experience working with customers to gather requirements and translating them into system/technology requirements is a must
History of working with confidential data is preferred
Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in a technical support and/or software development role preferred.
Experience supporting large corporate applications and systems.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including debugging and analysis of performance issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with users and provide a high level of customer service in a friendly, professional manner.
Able to generate and analyze data and reports (Strong Excel & PowerPoint Experience).
Experience in a Global environment preferred.

The Global IT Configuration Engineer will join a team of

Other members of the HR IT team, including Workday Delivery Team (other Workday team members supporting all aspects of the Workday platform)
Global HR stakeholders to prioritize, document, and test enhancements to existing systems
Integration and QA Teams as need

Manage and configure updates to Workday by partnering with the product team, documenting requirements, tracking updates through Jira, and managing updates through sprint process
Be the voice of the customer, advocate on behalf of our user base to increase their experience and satisfaction with Workday
Represent the technical team for the health of the Time Off and Absence areas of Workday, in terms of quality of operational effectiveness from a functional & technical standpoint
Work closely with software vendor in the planning and design of application changes (including upgrades) and coordinating on delivery and deployment processes
Stay abreast of functional & development tools, trends and practices, and act as an evangelist for items that should be considered for future initiative
