Full job description

We are looking for a Creative Copy & Content Writer who can think creatively, write exceptionally well, and develop content that makes brands stand out on digital platforms.

As an agency, we work with multiple clients across different industries. The person in this role will be responsible for creating creative, engaging and platform-specific content for multiple brands across social media, digital campaigns, websites, advertisements and other marketing channels.

We are looking for someone who can go beyond simply "writing content" — someone who can understand a brand, understand its audience, develop a creative thought and turn it into compelling communication.

The ideal candidate should have a strong command of English, excellent creative thinking, an understanding of social media trends and the ability to adapt their writing style to different brands and audiences.

Key Responsibilities1. Creative Copywriting

Develop creative and engaging copy for social media posts, Reels, videos, campaigns, advertisements and digital marketing initiatives.
Write attention-grabbing hooks, headlines, taglines, captions and CTAs.
Develop creative concepts and communication ideas for brands.
Turn marketing objectives into strong creative communication.
Write copy that is clear, memorable, engaging and aligned with the brand's personality.
Develop campaign themes, creative ideas and content series.
Think of fresh and unconventional ways to communicate common marketing messages.

2. Social Media Content

Create content for platforms including:

Instagram
Facebook
LinkedIn
YouTube
X and other relevant platforms

Responsibilities include:

Social media captions
Carousel content
Reel scripts
Video scripts
Story content
Polls and interactive content
Campaign content
Educational and informational content
Brand-building content
Promotional content
Festival and topical content

The writer should understand that Instagram copy cannot simply be copied and pasted onto LinkedIn or Facebook. Content should be adapted according to the platform, audience and objective.

3. Long-Form & Brand Content

Depending on client requirements, develop:

Website content
Landing page copy
Blogs and articles
Brand profiles
Product/service descriptions
Brochures and marketing material
Email content
Promotional campaigns
Thought-leadership content
Case studies
Corporate communication

4. Research & Understanding

Research the client's business, industry, products/services and target audience before writing.
Understand the client's competitors and market positioning.
Conduct research to ensure content is accurate and relevant.
Identify industry trends, conversations and opportunities for content.
Understand the target audience's pain points, motivations and behaviour.
Convert research and insights into meaningful content ideas.

5. Brand Voice & Tone

The candidate should be able to write for different types of brands and personalities.

For example:

Education
Retail / e-commerce

You should be able to change your writing style according to the brand rather than using the same writing style for every client.

6. Creative Ideation

Participate in creative brainstorming sessions.
Generate new campaign and content ideas.
Develop creative concepts around trends, occasions and business opportunities.
Convert a simple client brief into a strong creative direction.
Work closely with graphic designers, video editors, social media executives and account managers.
Provide clear creative direction to designers and video teams wherever required.

7. Trend & Social Media Awareness

Stay updated with current social media trends and formats.
Identify trending topics, conversations, memes and cultural moments relevant to brands.
Understand how brands can participate in trends without compromising their positioning.
Regularly analyse successful brand campaigns and creative communication.
Bring new ideas and references to the creative team.

The Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

You should be someone who:

Can come up with 10 different ideas instead of the first obvious idea.
Has a strong command of English grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure.
Can write short, punchy copy as well as detailed content.
Understands what makes people stop scrolling.
Can write a strong hook.
Can simplify complicated ideas.
Has a natural curiosity about brands, people and culture.
Can take feedback positively and improve the work.
Is comfortable handling multiple brands simultaneously.
Can meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Can work independently while collaborating with the creative and social media team.

Agency Experience – Preferred

Experience working in a digital marketing, advertising or creative agency will be an advantage.

Candidates with agency experience should be comfortable handling:

Multiple clients

Important Requirement

We are NOT looking for someone who only knows how to write grammatically correct English.

We are looking for someone who can think creatively and then write brilliantly.

The candidate should be able to look at a product, service or marketing objective and ask:

"What is the most interesting way we can communicate this to the audience?"

That mindset is more important to us than simply having a large vocabulary.

Qualification

Graduate / Postgraduate in English, Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred.

Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Candidates with a strong portfolio of social media copy, campaigns, scripts, blogs, advertisements or brand content will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
