Position: Director of Operations

Operations Department

Reports To

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Job Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the organization's day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficiency, productivity, and sustainable business growth. This role collaborates closely with senior leadership to develop strategic initiatives, optimize business processes, improve operational performance, and ensure all departments work together to achieve the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's vision and long-term goals.
Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Lead and manage department heads, fostering collaboration and accountability across all teams.
Establish, monitor, and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
Design, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Prepare, monitor, and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans.
Analyze operational data and prepare reports for executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
Lead workforce planning, performance management, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
Drive process improvement, automation, and digital transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency.
Coordinate with HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless business operations.
Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies to improve service quality.
Manage vendor relationships, procurement activities, and contract negotiations.
Oversee project execution to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
Resolve operational challenges and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Present operational reports, performance insights, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership.
Identify opportunities for business expansion, revenue growth, and operational cost optimization.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, business administration, or a related leadership role.
Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
Strong knowledge of business operations, process improvement, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and business reporting tools.
Experience with ERP, CRM, or other business management systems is an added advantage.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
