About the Role
Draft n Craft is seeking an experienced and dynamic Paralegal Manager to lead our paralegal team supporting US law firms. This is a pivotal leadership role spanning team and people management, workflow and operations, quality control and compliance, client liaison and communication, and strategic and policy work.
You will be responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality legal support, effective communication with US attorneys, and the seamless delivery of paralegal services in line with US legal requirements. The ideal candidate pairs strong legal knowledge with proven people-management skills and thrives in a fast-paced, night-shift environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team & People Management
- Lead, supervise, and manage a team of paralegals supporting US law firms.
- Monitor individual and team performance against production and quality milestones.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, and performance reviews to foster growth and accountability.
- Identify skill gaps within the team and implement targeted coaching initiatives.
Training & Development
- Support and continuously improve onboarding and training programs covering Personal Injury paralegal services, legal fundamentals, and firm-specific requirements.
- Serve as the first level of escalation, providing hands-on support to the team in delivering paralegal services.
Workflow & Operations
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve turnaround times without compromising quality.
- Plan and balance workloads to ensure timely, accurate delivery across all matters.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Review work product to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to US legal standards and firm-specific guidelines.
Ensure consistent quality across all paralegal output and uphold confidentiality and professional standards.
Liaison & Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact between the paralegal team and US attorneys.
- Manage expectations and proactively communicate risks, delays, or bottlenecks to relevant stakeholders.
Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to process improvements, best practices, and policies that strengthen service delivery and team performance.
Educational Background & Skills
- Education: LLB / LLM from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 4–6 years working with US law firms, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Hands-on experience in US Personal Injury law is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience drafting legal documents: complaints, discovery, demands, motions, and responses.
- Solid understanding of legal fundamentals, methods, and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Well-organized, disciplined, and able to work independently.
- Computer-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Shift & Location
- Mandatory night shift aligned with US business hours to support attorney operations in real time. Candidates must be fully comfortable working consistent night shifts.
- This is an on-site position.
