Full job description

Department: MS-IMS

Area: Onsite

Location: Thrissur, Valappad

Job Title: Engineer – IT Infra – Network L3

Salary Range: CTC 10-12 LPA

Main Responsibilities:

· Experiences in working with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls devices.

· Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls

· Strong understanding on networking and security technologies, protocols.

· In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF etc.)

· Experience with network diagnostic, troubleshooting, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)

· Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems and solve complex problems.

· Experience in network switching – VLANs, Trunks, Link Aggregation

· Good understanding of networking – LAN – Wired & Wireless, WAN, DMZ, Internet, VPN & Firewalls

· Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.

· IT service management (ITIL) processes familiarity (e.g., change, service request, problem, incident)

· Prepare and maintain LLD, steady state configuration document, and other relevant technical documents.

· Weekly and monthly report preparation and presentation.

· Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

· Excellent communication skills

General Responsibilities:

· Maintain and update configuration documents.

· Maintain assets and software license / subscriptions.

· Vendor co-ordination and support

· Maintain SLAs and do timely escalations.

· Report all incident/service/change requests in helpdesk tool.

Provide after hour support in case of emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.

· Fulfilling of incidents and service requests.

· Completing tickets within SLA.

· Update request status to customers.

· Update escalations to Service Delivery Manager (SDM).

Routine tasks fulfilling

· Complete tasks as per schedules.

Update and maintain schedules.

· Update documents.

Maintain IT inventory & configurations

· Update and maintain the inventory list.

· Update and maintain the configuration documents

· Maintain warranty and subscription details.

· Notify stake holders about renewals beforehand.

· Update in Helpdesk Tool / Assets Management Tools

· Report to customer.

· Weekly and monthly report preparation and presentation.

Competencies Required:

Qualification:

· Graduate or above

· 5+ years of total experience

· CCNA Certification

· Palo Alto (PCNSA / PCNSE) similar (Optional)

· Excellent troubleshooting skills

· Proven experience as Network engineer or similar role

· Paloalto firewall experience.

· Exceptional organizing and time-management skills

· Very good communication abilities

· Routing, Switching, Firewall & Wireless network Configure, manage, and troubleshoot
